It felt warm.
The process was slow in this tiny fledgling mindscape that for now was shared. One half a brilliant sea of stars like a scene out of an old ink painting as a pristine foggy lake with a lone island cradled a wispy ball of divine light. Not far away is a scene of a sea of clouds and a beautiful azure sky, looking like a scene out of an Inazuman calligraphy painting. Nestled in an island of clouds a similar wisping ball of light as hawk-like eyes of brilliant jade gleamed a brilliant amber fiery hue. The next sphere eyes of brilliant honey amber with sharp feral hawk-like pupils opened bleary eyes glowing softly.
Angry primitive growls escaped them as they felt something probing around scanning their minds, scanning mother's mind. Bad energy, bad corrupt intent. Strange energy was bad and bad things had to be ripped and purged. But they were tiny and right now their minds primal and primitive—feral. Bad thing whispering serenades of death, what a laugh it was to the tiny new souls. Yes, what a laugh as they stirred.
But they were small, they were not yet strong and the time had not yet come. "Be patient," amma Ad Oblivion had said. So they would wait, for they were good pups—Mor Fenrir's pups. Protect alpha Mor Fenrir, protect her for they were pack, they were yaksha—family. The golden eyed one his growl was tiny, but haunting as his littermate barked in agreement.
That weird umbra energy was intruder and not friendly. It was an enemy and it hurt as they felt a jolt. Then came warmth, gentle warmth, pleasing warmth. They felt sleepy...for they were so small and fragile. Yes, for now they would sleep and grow only stronger and bigger. Their time would soon come so the golden eyes in the darkness let out another wolven growl and a huff as they closed, jade eyes following soon after. Embraced here in mother's warm divine light they were safe. But what was that strange dendro energy that made the golden eyed one so anxious? It did not feel right and his primal mind screamed for caution. So caution he would take while sister sun guarded.
Sleep.
For now they would sleep.

Was it bad luck or destiny at play or some wicked lil' game? She was not sure. But Lumine had been forced to the ball of dark energy from the abyss alone with only their Aranara companion to help. Xiao was unable to get close due to how toxic it was for him. It had almost ended up being the situation with the Three Gateway Offering all over again. But in another bizarre twist some of her power had manifested if only for a short burst as hydro leaked through her seal. It had felt invigorating but with her condition it left her far more vulnerable. Xiao had been in a panic seeing her return from Old Vanarana injured. But her ability to heal? It had taken a bit longer but that elder Aranara had been kind in healing her. The real surprise was seeing a brand new allogene come into existence before their eyes in their new friend, Rana.
