A/N: I'm not a Final Fantasy fangirl what you talking about? jk! I'm totally a FF fan and yes I did give Emperor Alatus "One Winged Angel" for his intro theme above. Xiao's not finished his ascension yet but his power is on par with an archon's own at this stage.

Ascension Progress For Xiao: "2nd Chorus of Cherubim: 2/3 Trials" here. The first two choruses contain Virtues, with the final chorus the "Seraphim Chorus" having only one trial. At his current level he is now on par with an archon in terms of power. He is also no longer bound to a single element and at this stage can control 4/7 elements. He will gain an element upon each trial he passes. Right now he has Anemo, Geo, Electro, and Dendro just like Lumine. By the time they reach Natlan, Xiao will be just as strong as Asmodaus/Sustainer.

It felt strange.

The searing heat he had felt was now a cradling warmth as he lay there barely conscious due to the blow to the head he had suffered from the fall. In all right he should have been out for the count, recalling how fragile a state Nahida had warned him he was in. And yet...he never felt his head be so clear. First it had been tiny and too soft to hear before more and more voices like sparks kindling a fire. It grew into a deafening roaring inferno as his wounds healed at an astonishing pace as he heaved himself slowly up from the rubble. "What are all these voices and why do they fill me with such strength?"he thought as his body began to shift out of his human form. No, he knew what he was hearing.

Like a haunting chorus it only kept growing and growing, increasing his strength. These weren't just the voices of Sumeru; these were all of Teyvet. The strongest and loudest he was hearing were from those closest to his location. But it felt like somebody had grabbed him and severed him from something only to connect him to another. This need to spread his wings taking over sending a rain of pale feathers of gold that glittered like starlight as he let out an ethereal hawk-like screech. "ALATUS!!!!"he heard Shouki screech as he struck out at him.

Alatus just laughed, vanishing in a flash of light, his brilliant rainbow tails flowing like ribbons behind him. In a spinning stoop he vanished into a cosmic pale rainbow light-like mist turning invisible to their eyes. "You're 1500 years too young to be facing a veteran who fought that war."

Alatus appears in between Shouki and Nahida with a threatening poster, talons ripping the marble floor like a hot knife through butter. Doing so caused a shockwave of brilliant jade crystals to lash out and cause great deal of damage. Shouki let out a furious cry as he tried again and again to stomp or swat down Alatus. Only for Xiao's breezy, melodic laughter to echo around them as he was flying at the speed of light. Moving far faster than he had in his old body. If this was how Lumine flew then he understood now why she missed it so much. The rush and freedom of flying at these speeds was like no other.

"Get down here you annoying pheasant!!"snarled Shouki.

"Pheasant? Don't insult me, Shouki no Kami. You know only despair and thus that's all you know how to give others in return. But I? I hold the fires of hope in my very talons. I am the Bird of Ishtar, I have the favor of the heavens. Can you say the same, Shouki?"declared Alatus as he looked up at the massive energy sphere his foe conjured. Alatus though was up for this challenge as he upon instinct opened his beak and began to charge up his own heavily condense attack and shot out a blast of pure lumen energy that completely destroyed the blast to Shouki's dismay. The resulting shockwave made the girls squeal in fright.
