Finding Your Part 4 Ch 8~
The Next Day~At The Quartermaine Hotel~Rae was there having breakfast when a man came by. "Are you Mrs. Rae Cummings?" The man asked. "Yes, I am," Rae replied. "I have this for you," the man said, handling her an envelope. "Thank you," Rae said, opening it. "Oh my God, thank God," Rae exclaimed.
At Skye/Lorenzo~Skye and Lorenzo were exhausted after having breakfast with Lila Rae and Skylar. "Lila Rae, you are grounded for watching that movie. You scared Genevieve with it; she was up all night with us," Skye said.
"Wow, I can't believe I scared Genevieve," Lila Rae said.
"Lila Rae," Lorenzo said.
"What? It's like she's humane," Lila Rae replied.
"Well, it's not nice. You can't watch any TV, even though you have no school the rest of the week," Skye said.
"Yes, Mother," Lila Rae responded.
Genevieve came downstairs, still tired, wearing her red and green Christmas sweater and pants. She walks past Skye.
"Mother, let's go to school," Genevieve said, taking her mother's hand.
"Genevieve, there's no school again," Skye replied.
"No, come on, I can go to college. I have a test," Genevieve said.
"The professor isn't here. Come sit down and have some breakfast," Skye said.
"What are you wearing?" Lila Rae asked.
"Genevieve, are you okay?" Skylar asked.
"I'm fine. I want to go to school," Genevieve said, sitting down beside Skye.
The maid came by.
"Ms. Genevieve, here's your cream of wheat, just the way you like it," the maid said.
Genevieve picked up her spoon and ate some, just as Lorenzo's phone rang.
"I have to take this," Lorenzo said and stepped away.
Genevieve struggled to stay awake at the table.
"Genevieve," Skye said.
"Yes, Mother," Genevieve replied.
"Let's get you back in bed. You're so tired," Skye said.
"Well, we have school tomorrow," Genevieve argued.
"No, they canceled it for the rest of the week," Skye explained.
"No, I have a test—and a math test," Genevieve insisted.
"Come on," Skye urged.
Genevieve got up, took her mother's hand, and they went upstairs.
In Genevieve's room, Skye helped her into bed and gave her some Tylenol.
"Just sleep, baby," Skye said.
"Sorry, Mother," Genevieve said.
"It's okay. I like taking care of you," Skye replied.
"Can you wake me up at noon for Jeopardy? And maybe I can see Alexander today," Genevieve asked.
"I will wake you up for Jeopardy, and I'll think about letting you see Alexander," Skye said.
"Alright," Genevieve agreed.
"I love you, baby," Skye said.
"Night," Genevieve whispered, and Skye kissed her on the cheek as she fell asleep.
"Alexander," Genevieve mumbled in her sleep.
Skye went back downstairs where Lorenzo, Lila Rae, and Skylar were.
"Genevieve is resting. She's still so tired," Skye said.
"Good. Skye, that was the hospital. We can see Luis today," Lorenzo announced.
"Oh, that's great. Let's go. Jamie, can you stay with the girls?" Skye asked.
"Yes," Jamie replied.
"Good. Genevieve is resting. She wants to watch Jeopardy, so wake her up at noon," Skye instructed.
"Sure," Jamie said.
"Lila Rae is grounded. No TV for her," Skye added.
"Yes, Mother," Lila Rae said.
Skye touched Lila Rae's cheek.
"I know Genevieve can be hard sometimes, but it's not nice to scare your sister. You're the oldest; you know better," Skye told her.
"Yes, Mother," Lila Rae responded.
"Your mother is right," Lorenzo agreed.
"Sorry," Lila Rae said.
Lorenzo helped Skye with her coat, and they left.
