Finding You Part 4, Chapter 9
At the mental hospital, Skye and Lorenzo arrived. 'We are here to see our son, Luis Alcazar Jr.,' Lorenzo said. 'Yes, come with me. Dr. Collins is with him,' the woman responded. Skye and Lorenzo followed the nurse to Dr. Collins's office. They knocked on the door and entered. 'Skye and Lorenzo, come in,' Dr. Collins said. 'Is Luis in here?' Skye asked as they entered. 'Yes,' Dr. Collins replied. 'Luis,' Skye called out as she moved toward him. 'Mother, you're okay,' Luis said. 'Yes, baby, I'm fine. We love you so much,' Skye reassured him. 'I love you too, Mother. I was so scared I would lose another mother,' Luis admitted. 'You'll never lose me,' Skye said, hugging Luis. 'No, Luis, we will never let anything take us away from you,' Lorenzo added. 'Can I go home?' Luis asked. 'I hope so. Your sisters miss you,' Skye said. 'Even Genevieve?' Luis asked. 'Yes, even Genevieve,' Skye confirmed. 'Luis, I need to talk to your parents. We will be right back,' Dr. Collins said as they stepped into the hallway. 'How is our son?' Lorenzo inquired. 'Luis is improving. I see no reason he can't go home today,' Dr. Collins said. 'Thank you,' Skye responded. 'You're welcome. Luis will still need therapy and medication; he has bipolar disorder,' Dr. Collins explained. 'No, my baby. Is this from what happened to him as a little baby?' Skye asked. 'I'm afraid so,' Dr. Collins replied. 'Will our son ever get better?' Lorenzo asked. 'Luis will have this his whole life, but he can get better,' Dr. Collins assured them. 'Will you treat our son at home?' Skye inquired. 'Yes, I can,' Dr. Collins confirmed. 'Thank you, maybe you can help our daughter Genevieve too,' Skye hoped. 'Skye,' Lorenzo said. 'What is wrong with Genevieve?' Dr. Collins asked. 'Genevieve won't show any emotion towards us. She doesn't say I love you,' Skye explained. 'I will talk to Genevieve, but doesn't she have a high IQ?' Dr. Collins asked. 'Yes, why?' Lorenzo responded. 'It's normal for someone with a high IQ like Genevieve to be that way regarding feelings,' Dr. Collins replied. 'Oh. Can you still talk to her?' Skye asked. 'Yes, I can come over today,' Dr. Collins said. 'Thank you,' Skye said. Luis came out. 'Can I go home?' Luis asked. 'Yes, you can, son,' Lorenzo said. 'Yes, you just have to keep seeing Dr. Collins. How do you feel about that?' Skye asked. 'I like it. I want to get better,' Luis answered. 'Well, let's get you home, son,' Lorenzo said, picking up Luis. 'Bye, Dr. Collins,' Luis said. 'Bye, Luis,' Dr. Collins replied. They left.
