Finding You Part 4, Chapter 72
~At Lorenzo's Coffee Shop~
Lorenzo came in with Genevieve. "Genevieve, just have a seat at the table, read your book, and stay here," Lorenzo said. "I will," Genevieve replied. "Good, order whatever you want. I will be in my office and can't be interrupted," Lorenzo said. "I will be good," Genevieve said. "Good," Lorenzo responded. He went to his office, and Genevieve ordered a hot chocolate and a chocolate croissant. "Jay, when Alexander comes in, put his bill on the house," Genevieve said. "I will," Jay replied. Genevieve sat down and read her book.
At Lorenzo's office,~ Lorenzo was talking to one of his men. "So, did you find her?" Lorenzo asked. "Yes, she is here at the safe house," the man said. "Good, I will handle her. Just keep her there till I do. What about Tomas? Was he involved too?" Lorenzo asked. "Yes, sir, he was part of it too. They are husband and wife," the man said. "Great. Did you find him?" Lorenzo asked. "Not yet, but we will, sir," the man replied. "You better. I want extra guards on my family too," Lorenzo said. "Yes, sir," the man responded. "Also, Alan and Rae, too," Lorenzo added.
Inside the coffee shop,~ Genevieve was reading her book when Michael came in. "Genevieve, are you here alone?" Michael asked. "No, Daddy is in his office, and the guards are here as always," Genevieve said. "Yes, I remember that," Michael said as he sat down. "You had guards too," Genevieve asked. "Yes, I did when I was growing up," Michael replied. "Why does Uncle AJ have a normal job?" Genevieve asked. "I was raised by another man whose job required guards," Michael explained. "Oh. Is there any way to avoid them when you get older?" Genevieve asked. "No," Michael answered. "Michael, can you tell your mother to leave my parents alone? Your mother has been trying to move in on my father ever since my mother got sick, but my father loves my mother and won't take your mother back," Genevieve said. "You know that my mother was married to your father," Michael asked. "Yes, I checked online," Genevieve replied. "Well, don't worry about it," Michael said. "Alright," Genevieve responded.
"What are you reading?" Michael asked. "Flowers in the Attic for school," Genevieve answered. "Oh. Sometimes I forget you're not a kid," Michael said. "No, I'm not. Do you want anything? You can put it on the house," Genevieve offered as Lorenzo approached. "Genevieve, are you giving away drinks and food? How will I make a living?" Lorenzo asked. "Daddy, you'll be fine. Besides, it's for Michael and his family," Genevieve said. "Yes, he is, and it's fine, but I know about Alexander," Lorenzo said. "I can buy my coffee, thank you, Genevieve," Michael said. "You're welcome," Genevieve replied. "Let's go," Lorenzo said. Genevieve put on her coat. "Michael, do you like my new coat?" Genevieve asked. "Yes, I will see you later," Michael said, kissing Genevieve on the cheek. Carly came in, and they left.
"You're very good with your cousin," Carly said. "I like Genevieve. She's going to be a full Quartermaine, that's for sure. Anyway, I'm glad you're here," Michael said. "You are?" Carly asked. "Yes, I heard you've been hanging around Lorenzo," Michael said. "I'm not after Lorenzo; I'm just a friend, that's all," Carly replied. "I hope not. Lorenzo and Skye love each other," Michael said. "I know, and I'm happy for Lorenzo. That's it," Carly said. "Good, Genevieve is a worry," Michael said. "Well, she has nothing to worry about," Carly assured.
