Finding You Part 4, Chapter 23
— At Skye/Lorenzo — Skye and Lorenzo sat on the couch together. "Are you sure about turning your back on your parents?" Lorenzo asks. "Yes, I don't need them; you're all I ever need— you and our children," Skye replied. "Oh, Skye, I hate this," Lorenzo said. "Don't, I want to do this. I don't need them anyway," Skye said as Genevieve entered with a hot chocolate in her hand. "Genevieve, come say hello to your father," Skye said. "Hello, Daddy. I'm glad you're out," Genevieve said. "Thank you. Where did you go?" Lorenzo asked. "I ran errands with Sally," Genevieve replied. "We know—you were at my shop," Lorenzo said. "Alright. Yes, Alexander wants to meet for coffee," Genevieve said. "Coffee?" Lorenzo asked. "You meant hot chocolate, right?" Skye asked. "What's the difference? We had espresso and some hot chocolate," Genevieve explained. "Come sit down," Lorenzo said. Genevieve sat in between her parents. "Why didn't you ask me if you could go?" Skye asked. "I knew you'd say no," Genevieve replied. "How did Alexander get a hold of you?" Lorenzo asked. "My cell phone," Genevieve said. "You know that's only for emergencies," Lorenzo replied. "Yes, I'm sorry," Genevieve said. "What did you talk about?" Lorenzo asked. "Just books. We both finished 'The Tale of Two Cities' and wanted to talk about it," Genevieve explained. "Did you like the espresso?" Skye asked. "Not really, but don't tell Alexander," Genevieve said. "We won't. So, you put Josslyn's bill on the house?" Lorenzo asked. "Yes, I want to apologize for what I said to her, but it doesn't mean I like her," Genevieve replied. "It's fine that you did that. It was a nice thing to do," Lorenzo said. "Yes, it was," Skye agreed. "Who paid for your drinks with Alexander?" Lorenzo asked. "The house did. Can I go now?" Genevieve asked. "Wait. Next time, tell us where you're going. No more sneaking around. I need your cell phone," Lorenzo said. "Yes, Daddy," Genevieve replied, handing her cell phone to Lorenzo. She then got up and went upstairs. "Lorenzo," Skye said. "This thing with Alexander is getting serious, isn't it?" Lorenzo said. "Lorenzo, Genevieve is just a little girl. I don't think she and Alexander will be forever. She will want to date other boys," Skye said. "I don't know if I can do this," Lorenzo said. "You had to with me. I can't do it alone," Skye replied. They shared a kiss. "I'm going to check on dinner. I had the cook make a great welcome-home meal," Skye said and left. Tomas came in. "Tomas, what are you doing here?" Lorenzo asked. "I'm glad you're well," Tomas said. "Is Faith gone? How safe is my family?" Lorenzo asked. "Faith is gone. I didn't know she was planning to kill you all. I know she wanted to get you back, and so did I," Tomas said, as a man entered. "Take him away," Lorenzo ordered. The man took Tomas and left as Skye entered. "Lorenzo," Skye said. "Our family is safe," Lorenzo said. "Good. Dinner is ready," Skye said. "Good," Lorenzo replied.
