Finding You Part 4, Chapter 44 —
At Skye and Lorenzo's — Skye was up early, getting things ready for when the kids wake up and prepare for school. Genevieve came in her robe with the dog on a leash. "Genevieve, why are you up so early?" Skye asked. "Charlie has to go potty," Genevieve said. "Oh, alright, go take him out," Skye replied. Genevieve took the dog outside and saw one of the guards, Jim. "Jim, this is my dog Charlie," Genevieve said. "I heard you got a dog," Jim said. "Yes, you have to protect him too," Genevieve replied. "I will, Miss Genevieve," Jim said. Genevieve took the dog back inside. "Did he go potty?" Skye asked. "Yes, I'm going to give him a treat. All the books say to give a dog a treat when you're training him to go potty," Genevieve replied. "Alright, you might as well get into the shower," Skye said. "Yes, I'm going to wear my new jeans today," Genevieve said. "Alright," Skye replied. Genevieve took the dog into the kitchen, gave him a treat, and came back with him. "Mother, can I take Charlie into my room?" Genevieve asked. "No, leave him down here," Skye said. "Mother, will you like him?" Genevieve asked. "I'll try. You work your father into getting one," Skye said. Genevieve just smiled at Skye and went upstairs. "I'll try to like you. You're already working miracles with my daughter, Genevieve," Skye said. Lila Rae, Luis Jr., Skylar, and Lorenzo came down, all dressed for the day. "Charlie's up," Lila Rae asked. "Yes, Genevieve just took him out," Skye said. "Good," Lorenzo said, petting the dog. "Breakfast will be ready soon," Skye said as Genevieve came in wearing her new jeans. "Genevieve, you're already—" Skye started. Genevieve was never done early. "Yes, Mother," Genevieve said. "Good, I'll check on breakfast. Have a seat," Skye said and left. "So, Genevieve, how was it? Did you sleep with Charlie?" Lorenzo asked. "He slept in his bed," Genevieve said. "Really?" Lorenzo asked. "No," Genevieve replied. "Just be careful," Lorenzo said. "I know," Genevieve said as Skye came in. "Breakfast is ready," Skye announced. "I'm so happy to go back to school," Genevieve said. "I'm sure you are," Skye replied.
