Finding You, Part 4, Chapter 31 —
At Skye / Lorenzo — Skye was folding her children's clothes when Lorenzo and Genevieve came in. She was carrying a vase with flowers, and Lorenzo was carrying her bags. "Genevieve, you're home," Skye said. "Yes, I'm just hoping I made the right choice," Genevieve replied. "It is. I miss you," Skye said as she hugged Genevieve. "Mother, I was only gone for a day," Genevieve added. "I know, but I'm still glad you're home," Skye responded. "Alexander sent me these flowers," Genevieve said. "They're beautiful. Now go upstairs and put your bags in your room," Skye told her. "Alright," Genevieve replied, heading upstairs. "Lorenzo, thank you. So, are you going to let Genevieve see Alexander?" Skye asked. "Yes, I called Alexander and told him I was wrong — he can see our daughter," Lorenzo said. "Thank you," Skye said. "You're welcome. I still think they are moving too fast," Lorenzo added. "Maybe we could set some rules for them," Skye suggested. "Yeah," Lorenzo agreed. "I need to get ready to take Skylar to her painting class, Lila Rae to her piano lesson, and Luis Jr. has an appointment with Dr. Kevin today," Skye said. "I can take our son," Lorenzo offered. "Thank you," Skye replied, heading upstairs.
Genevieve was upstairs in her room, opening her bag and pulling out some junk food the maids had given her. She was about to hide it when Skye entered. "Genevieve, where did you get all that junk food?" Skye asked, noticing the chips and candy. "The maids gave it to me," Genevieve said. "So you took it?" Skye questioned. "Yes, it was for me," Genevieve replied. "You're not eating all that," Skye said. "Why not?" Genevieve asked. "I don't want you to get fat. That would make me a bad mother," Skye said. "You're not a bad mother," Genevieve reassured her, hugging Skye. "Oh, someone misses me," Skye joked. "No, I didn't," Genevieve said, pulling back as Skye touched her chin. "Really?" Skye asked. "Yes," Genevieve replied as Skylar, Lila Rae, and Luis Jr. entered. "Genevieve, I'm glad you're back," Skylar said. "Thank you," Genevieve answered. "Skylar and Lila Rae, we need to go soon," Skye reminded them. "Yes, Mother. I'm glad you're back," Lila Rae said. "Thanks, Mother. I have to show you something," Genevieve said, pulling out a magazine and showing Skye an ad. "I want to buy these new jeans; they are from a new designer and come out today," Genevieve explained. "They're a hundred fifty dollars," Skye said. "Yes, I have fifty dollars, please," Genevieve pleaded. "Alright," Skye agreed. "Thank you," Genevieve said. "Get your money," Skye told her. "I will when everyone leaves," Genevieve promised. "We won't take your money," Skye said. Genevieve then pulled out a fake book from her bookshelf, opened it, and retrieved the money. "Oh, Fakebook — clever idea," Skye remarked. "I know how much I have, so don't get any ideas," Genevieve said. "Genevieve," Skye warned as they left.
Skye came downstairs with the children. "So, what's going on?" Lorenzo asked. "I'm taking Skylar and Lila Rae to their lessons and Genevieve to the mall for new jeans," Skye explained. "Really?" Lorenzo asked. "I paid for half of it," Genevieve added. "Alright, I'm glad you're home," Lorenzo said. "Thanks, Daddy," Genevieve replied. "I'll take Luis to his therapy and then spend the day with my son," Lorenzo announced. "Cool, Dad," Luis Jr. responded. "Alright, let's go, girls," Skye said, and they left.
