Finding You Part 4, Chapter 35~
At Skye's Office~Skye was on the phone. "I don't care, I want that deal now," Skye said as she hung up, and Rae came in. "Mother, thanks for meeting me," Skye said. "You're welcome. What do you want?" Rae asked. "I want to know if you still want to work here even though you're upset with my husband," Skye replied. "Skye, I do enjoy working with you, and I miss you and my grandchildren. Why can't we work out something?" Rae asked. "I want to, but I can't. I love my husband," Skye said. "You love him so much you'd do anything for him, right?" Rae asked. "Yes, I'm sorry," Skye replied. Rae opened her purse, pulled out a key, and handed it to Skye.
At Alexis's Office~Alexis was holding a folder on Anna's case when Robin entered. "Alexis, you want to see me?" Robin asked. "Yes, I've been working on finding Anna's killer, but I keep hitting dead ends," Alexis said. "You're close to the case; he's going to get away," Robin asked. "Yes, I'm sorry," Alexis said. "Me too. We both know it was Lorenzo," Robin said. "Yes, I had evidence, but it disappears," Alexis said. "I hate this," Robin said. "I hate it too, and I will be watching him," Alexis replied. "Good," Robin said.
At Skye/Lorenzo~Lorenzo was in the living room when Genevieve came down with a bag of snacks. "Daddy, where is Mother?" Genevieve asked. "Your mother went to the office. Why?" Lorenzo asked. "I brought all my snacks that the maids gave me to the mansion," Genevieve said. "Good, just put them on the table," Lorenzo said. Genevieve put the snacks on the table. "Why doesn't Mother want us to eat junk food?" Genevieve asked. "Your mother and I just want to keep you healthy, that's all," Lorenzo explained. "Oh," Genevieve said. "Genevieve, we need to talk," Lorenzo said, and they sat down on the couch. "I'm sorry about what I did with Alexander," Lorenzo said. "I forget you, Daddy, and I didn't mean it when I said I wish you had died," Genevieve said. "I know you don't mean it," Lorenzo replied. Genevieve pulled out her phone. "Daddy, today Constanza and Abby both got a dog. See how cute she is?" Genevieve asked, showing Lorenzo a picture. "Yes, they are cute," Lorenzo said. "This one is still for sale. He looks like the old dog you had. Wasn't his name Brown Penny?" Genevieve asked. "Yes, after your grandmother's favorite poem. You are just like her with your love for poetry," Lorenzo said. "Yea," Genevieve replied. "Genevieve, are you trying to get a dog out of me?" Lorenzo asked. "No," Genevieve said. "You're just like your mother and me. But your mother will say no," Lorenzo said. "But if you say yes, Mother will," Genevieve said. Skye came in. "What is going on?" Skye asked. "Nothing," Genevieve said. "We were just talking," Lorenzo explained. "Oh, Genevieve, did you bring all the snacks downstairs?" Skye asked. "Yes, Mother. They're in the bag on the table," Genevieve said. "It's all of it?" Skye asked. "Yes," Genevieve said. "Alright, go get dressed. We're going out to dinner," Skye said. "Can I wear my new jeans?" Genevieve asked. "Sure," Lorenzo replied. "I guess. Go get your brother and sister too," Skye added. Genevieve went upstairs. "So, what was Genevieve trying to get from you?" Skye asked. "She was talking to me about the dog she saw at the park," Lorenzo explained. "Did you say no?" Skye asked. "I didn't say anything. Why don't you want a dog?" Lorenzo asked. "They are messing," Skye said. "It wouldn't hurt for the children to have one," Lorenzo said. "Oh, Lorenzo, did our Genevieve soften you up?" Skye asked. "He looks like the one I had as a little boy," Lorenzo replied. "Oh, Lorenzo," Skye said. "Just think about it," Lorenzo urged. "Fine," Skye agreed. Skylar, Luis Jr., and Genevieve with Lila Rae came downstairs.
"Mother, why can't I wear makeup? I'm older than Genevieve," Lila Rae said. "You can use some of mine," Genevieve offered. "Genevieve, that's nice of you, but you shouldn't share makeup. Lila Rae, I will get you some of your own. Now, let's go," Skye said. "Where are we going?" Skylar asked. "To the hotel," Skye replied. "Can we get ice cream afterward?" Luis Jr. asked. "Yes," Genevieve said. "If you eat all your dinner," Lorenzo added. They left.
