Finding You, Part 4, Chapter 51
– At Skye/Lorenzo – Lorenzo and Tracy were talking. "It's a good thing I came over; Carly is trying to warm her way into your bed," Tracy said. "Why do you care about my marriage to Skye? You hate her," Lorenzo replied. "I promised Alan I would watch over Skye and the children, and I will. I have my reasons with Skye, but we're Quartermaines, and we stick up for each other," Tracy said. "I don't need you here," Lorenzo responded. "Your daughter Genevieve is a lot like me—a true Quartermaine," Tracy said. "My daughter is nothing like you; I will make sure of that," Lorenzo said. "Oh yes, she is," Tracy replied. "You have no reason to believe I'll cheat on my wife. I love her, and I will help her recover from this," Lorenzo stated. "You'd better, and you'd better find out who did this," Tracy said. "My men are working on it," Lorenzo assured. "Good," Tracy responded as the children entered. "Aunt Tracy, do you want to stay for dinner?" Genevieve asked. "I would love to, but I can't," Tracy replied. "Oh," Genevieve said. "Tell your Aunt Tracy goodbye," Lorenzo instructed. "Goodbye," the children said, and Tracy left.
"Father, when is mother coming home?" Luis Jr. asked. "Let's sit down and talk," Lorenzo suggested, and they sat on the couch. "Can we see Mother?" Lila Rae asked. "I have some news—while your mother is recovering, she can come home?" Lorenzo asked. "Really?" Genevieve inquired. "Yes, I'm going to hire a nurse to take care of your mother, but I need all of you to help by listening to Jamie and me," Lorenzo explained. "We will," Genevieve assured. "Yes, we will," Skylar added. "Good—your mother is going to need a lot of care. The burns are all over her, so it'll take time, but she'll get better," Lorenzo said. "Do you know how the fire started?" Luis Jr. asked. "No, but I'm going to look into it," Lorenzo replied. "Good," Genevieve said. "I also want you all to do your best in school, despite all this," Lorenzo urged. "We will," Skylar confirmed. "Yes," Luis Jr. agreed. "Well, let's have dinner," Lorenzo concluded.
At General Hospital—Skye's room—Skye was awake when Tracy entered. "Tracy, why are you here?" Skye asked. "To see if you need anything," Tracy replied. "Why do you care?" Skye questioned. "Look, Alan asked me to look out for you and your family, and I will," Tracy stated. "That was sweet of Alan, but I don't need you," Skye said. "Oh yes, you do. Just trust me, and I will make sure you and your family are fine," Tracy assured. "I don't trust you at all," Skye said. "I know," Tracy acknowledged and left as AJ entered. "Skye, why was Tracy here?" AJ asked. "To tell me she's going to look out for me and my children. She's up to something," Skye responded. "I'll check it out. You just focus on recovery; I need you," AJ said. "I will. I can recover at home," Skye stated. "That's great," AJ responded. "Yes, it is," Skye agreed. "Skye, are you okay?" AJ asked. "Yes, just tired," Skye responded. "I'll let you rest then," AJ said, leaving.
At Ned's penthouse—Ned was having a drink when a knock came at the door; it was Alexis. "Alexis, why are you here?" Ned asked. "To see how you are," Alexis said. "Alan and Skye will be just fine. It was scary, but they'll be okay," Ned assured. "Yes, they will. Do you want to talk?" Alexis asked. "Yes. Do you know if Felicia found out anything about the new designer?" Ned inquired. "Not yet, but she will," Alexis replied. "Good. I need to make sure this person won't come after my family. I have to keep everyone safe," Ned emphasized. "Yeah," Alexis agreed. "Have a drink with me," Ned offered, pouring Alexis a glass. "Here's to being a gatekeeper," Ned toasted. "Being a gatekeeper," Alexis echoed.
At Skye and Lorenzo's—Lorenzo went into his and Skye's shared room after putting the children to bed. He picked up Skye's robe on the bed and cried. "Skye," Lorenzo whispered, putting his hands on her pillow and crying for her.
In the hallway—Genevieve peeked into her parents' room and saw her father crying. She'd never seen him cry before and hurried to her room.
