Finding you part 4, chapter 69 -
At Skye/Lorenzo - Lorenzo helps Skye back into bed as she was tired from the outing. "Mother, do you need anything?" Genevieve asked as she came in. "No, baby," Skye replied. "Your mother just needs to rest," Lorenzo said. "Alright," Genevieve responded. Lorenzo and Genevieve left the room. "Daddy, was this too much for mother? Maybe she shouldn't go to Lila Rae's piano recital. Lila Rae would understand," Genevieve said. "I will make sure it's not too much before your mother goes," Lorenzo assured her. "Yes, Daddy. Can I walk Charlie before we go to the bookstore?" Genevieve asked. "Yes, I will have one of the guards go with you," Lorenzo replied. "Daddy, I don't need them," Genevieve said. "Yes, you do," Lorenzo insisted. "Why don't you come with me?" Genevieve asked as Carly came in. "Why are you here?" Genevieve asked. "Good to see you too, Genevieve," Carly said. "Carly," Lorenzo greeted. "I'm here to see my mother," Carly explained. "Sure, Bobbie is with my wife right now. You can wait here," Lorenzo said. "Yes, Daddy, and I am going for a walk. Come on, Daddy," Genevieve said, taking her father's hand. "Genevieve, go get your coat and you can go with the guards," Lorenzo instructed. Genevieve went to get her coat from the chair. "Nice leopard print coat," Carly commented. "Thanks, it's just like the coat my favorite singers wear, and it's an expectation Mother brought it for me," Genevieve replied. "Who's your favorite singer?" Carly asked. "Shania Twain. Come on, Daddy, let's go," Genevieve said, pulling his hand. "Genevieve, I'm staying with your mother," Lorenzo replied. Charlie came by, and Genevieve put his leash on as the guard entered. "My daughter wants to walk her dog. Keep an eye on her," Lorenzo told the guard. "Yes, sir," he responded. "Genevieve, don't be gone long—I mean it," Lorenzo warned. "Yes, Daddy. Don't forget, Mother—the woman you love—is in the sunroom," Genevieve said before leaving. "I'm sorry about my daughter," Lorenzo apologized. "She is just like both of you and Skye," Carly said. "Yes, she is. Genevieve is a handful," Lorenzo agreed. "Oh, just wait until she's a teenager. How is Skye?" Carly asked. "We went out for the first time today. It was hard on her. Lila Rae has her first piano recital, and Skye wants to go," Lorenzo explained. "Of course she does—Skye's a mother first. Lorenzo, if you need anything," Carly offered, touching his shoulder. "Carly, I will not cheat on my wife," Lorenzo said. "I know, I don't think of you that way—just as a friend," Carly responded. "Oh, good," Lorenzo said. "Have you found who did this?" Carly asked. "No, but I will," Lorenzo promised. "Good," Carly replied as AJ entered. "Carly, why are you here?" AJ asked. "To see my mother. She's Skye's nurse," Carly explained. "AJ, it's good to see you. Skye is sleeping," Lorenzo said. "Can I just check on her?" AJ asked. "Yes," Lorenzo agreed. "Thank you. Remember, Skye loves you," AJ said. "I love her too," Lorenzo responded. AJ left as Bobbie entered. "Carly, why are you here?" Bobbie asked. "I want to see you. We had plans for lunch," Carly explained. "I can't go," Bobbie said. "It's okay, you can take a break. My wife is resting," Lorenzo said. "Alright, I will be back in an hour," Bobbie said, leaving with Carly.
Skye's room—Skye was waking up as AJ entered. "AJ," Skye said. "Skye, how are you doing?" AJ asked. "Alright. Today we went to Lorenzo's coffee shop. It was nice to get out," Skye replied. "Good. Just don't push yourself," AJ advised. 'I need to get better; my family needs me," Skye said. "I know," AJ agreed. "Have you seen Daddy and Rae?" Skye asked. "I just came back from seeing them. They are both getting better," AJ said. "Thank you," Skye responded. "You're welcome. Do you need anything?" AJ asked. "I need someone to help run my magazine while I'm like this. Can you ask Lydia to help me?" Skye requested. "Sure, I think that's a good idea. You need someone you can trust," AJ agreed. "Yes, I do. So, when is the court case?" Skye asked. "Tomorrow," AJ answered. "Good," Skye said.
Lorenzo was on the phone. "Are you sure? Bring her to me?" Lorenzo said, hanging up. Genevieve entered with the dog. "How was your walk?" Lorenzo asked. "Good. I'm going to get Charlie a treat," Genevieve said. "Alright, we will leave soon," Lorenzo replied. "Can I check on mother?" Genevieve asked. "Yes, after you give Charlie the treat," Lorenzo said. She left with the dog.
