"Honestly Lily just admit you fancy him-"
"No. I don't. He's ... attractive but that's it. I don't even know him well enough to-"
"Lily you're being ridiculous," Sirius groaned. "We all know you do. The party? Please you two were with each other all night."
"Actually no we weren't. Before I came to you guys I was with someone else," Lily mumbled crossing her arms.
"I'm sorry? With whom?" I asked.
"Someone else... I like someone else ok?" She frowned.
"Ouch," Sirius said and I glared at him.
"Well. Good for you lily. Whenever you're ready to talk about him you can talk to me," I said with a tight smile.
"I'm sorry-"
"Lily... I love James but I get it. He has a lot of growing up to do. Maybe one day if he ever does you two can maybe work out," I said reassuringly.
"Thanks. But-"
"Fuck-" I gasped hunching over in pain.
Sirius also groaned loudly holding himself against the arm of the couch. My body was rising in temperature and a sharp pain grew on my shoulder.
"What's wrong- are you two ok?" Lily asked worriedly.
Once the pain subsided I felt my magic sparkle at the tips of my fingers. My chest felt like it was going to burst and I looked over at Sirius to see a look of confusion across his face.
"Woah," I mumbled sitting up straight once again.
"Uh??? Explain??" Lily demanded still looking at me with wide eyes.
"Honestly Lily I have no idea what just happened but-"
Oh. Oh. Right.
"Probably a stupid prank or something. I'll ask James later," I quickly made up.
"You lot and your pranks are out of hand," she grumbled.
"It's what we do Lils," Sirius added.
The doors to the common room burst open and James and Peter ran through the doors. They were out of breath and James slowed down at the sight of lily.
"Lily," James greeted smiling at her.
"Hey James," she replied nodding at him.
James looked over at Sirius and i and gave us a particular look. Sirius and I exchange glances and Lily sighed.
"I'll leave. I got to finish an assignment before tomorrow anyways." Lily announced getting to her feet.
"Nothing personal lily," I reassured.
"I know I know. Love you. Good night you guys." She smiled before running up to the girls dormitories.
