We shattered the world
As it shattered us.
I never will forgive
The life we had to hide
The lies we had to live
While no end was in sight
But now I know we're finally free
Our paper plane flies high.
Soft wind is carrying us away
We don't anymore have to lie.
You should never have doubted us
But all these unbelievers never saw
What was happening behind the light
They never knew about our war.
But now I know we're finally free,
Free as our paper plane
Soft wind is carrying us away
No longer trapped in our pain
Like leaves and water,
Like earth and sky,
Blue and green were meant to be
And now they're flying high
Their paper plane survived the storms
And carried hope through rain
Now they're free to live and love
It will never be the same
They know that there's no point in blame,
Forgiveness is the only way
They will never be like them
Their love will always stay.
But now they know, they can finally breathe
Their paper plane is flying away.
Soft wind helped them leave.
Our love makes them stay.
