We’re caught in the silence where shadows collide,
A place where we hide, where the truth is denied.
Your hand reaches for me, but I pull away,
I built these walls, and I force you to stay.I can taste the regret in every breath,
A love that’s alive but feels close to death.
You want the light, but I cling to the dark,
We’re lost in a maze that we never meant to startBehind these walls, where the world can’t see,
We’re something more, but we’ll never be free.
I’m tangled in fear, you’re caught in the fight,
We burn in the quiet but fade in the light.
Behind these walls, we’re barely alive,
Holding on to something we can’t survive. You bring the fire, but I drown it in rain,
We’re playing with matches but soaked in our pain.
I told you from the start, don’t wait for the end,
I’m here in the moment, but never to mend.Behind these walls, where the world can’t see,
We’re something more, but we’ll never be free.
I’m tangled in fear, you’re caught in the fight,
We burn in the quiet but fade in the light.
Behind these walls, we’re barely alive,
Holding on to something we can’t survive.I built the cage, you hold the key,
But you deserve more than this version of me.
I can’t commit, I can’t let go,
I’m chained to a heart that you’ll never know.Behind these walls, where we live in between,
Loving in shadows but never seen.
I’m tangled in fear, you’re caught in the fight,
We burn in the quiet, we fade in the light.
Behind these walls, we’re barely alive,
Holding on to something we can’t survive.
