Locked eyes

I met you in December
It was a Tuesday night
The air was cold and freezing
The world was shining white

We put our scates on tight
And walked towards the ice
I didn't tell you in that moment,
But I was already lost in your eyes

In my head I was asking
How was I your choice?
I got so lost in your little laughs
I got so lost in your voice

You didn't have gloves so I gave you my left one
Then you took my left hand
And we warmed each other, you held me tight,
while scating through winter wonderland

When a new song started playing
I knew this was 'bout more than just holding hands
You put your hands on my hips and we moved to the music
And started to dance

After that you hugged me on the ice
And I smelled your sweet scent
I wasn't even nervous at all-
At least tried to pretend

I held your hand in mine
To keep it warm and nice
We then got back to scating
Across the shining ice

My outside was getting cold a bit
But my inside was burning hot
Cause you made me feel happy
And I made you laugh a lot

One time, you had a funny idea
And then suggested to have a race
Whoever loses would have to buy
Hot chocolate for the first place

You know, I can get competitive
Of course, I wanted to win
Before we started, I looked to my side
And saw your adorable grin

We started fast, below us ice
My heart picked up the pace
And I was the first on the other side
Of the frozen place

I turned around to look for you
Suddenly you were in front of me
I just remember that the frozen ground
Was the next thing I see

You bumped into me and we both fell down
I didn't mind falling on ice
But I realised I had also fallen for you
The moment we both locked eyes

We both started laughing and I helped you up
Your face was burning red
But how cute can blushing be on someone?
How adorable the little 'sorry' you said

You then pulled me off to the side of the place
I didn't even remember to blink
When my arms held you tight
And your lips came closer
And we kissed in the snowing night
