Just because you love me,
doesn’t mean I feel loved by you,
your affection’s like a shadow,
always close, but never true.
Your words are sweet, but hollow,
promises that never stay,
they drift away like echoes,
lost in the light of day.
You say you care, you want the best,
but your love feels cold and strained,
it’s like a storm that's always near,
bringing tears instead of rain.
I crave the warmth, the gentle touch,
not the pain and feeling low,
just because you say you love me,
doesn’t mean I feel it, though.
I'm asking now, why can't you see,
Your love is lost in what you do,
for just because you love me,
doesn’t mean I feel loved by you.
