Three, Two, One

Fading photographs, forgotten memories,
ticking echoes of long gone centuries
The clock keeps ticking, but I'm stuck in place
The past is a ghost that I can’t seem to face

Was it all for nothing?
Just chasing empty dreams?
Now I'm drowning in the silence, haunted by my screams

3, 2, 1, I’m lost, too much in my own head
Each thought a chain, pulling me deeper into dread
10, 20, 30 minutes, hours turn to days
Wasted in this darkness, caught in this maze

Time slips away, like sand through my fingers
The more I hold on, the more it lingers
A prisoner of my own mind, can't find the key
Locked in my doubts, longing to be free

10, 20, 30 minutes, a lifetime in disguise
Wasted chasing shadows, tears in my eyes

So here I am, another minute lost
Paying for my thoughts, but at what cost?
Fading time, so much regret
Every “what if” and “could have been” I can’t forget

10, 20, 30 minutes, sinking in my thoughts
Counting down the moments, all the battles lost

Was it all a dream, a shadow in the dark?
Now I’m stranded all alone, with a fractured heart

3, 2, 1, too much, slipping through the cracks
Overthinking every moment, can’t find my way back
10, 20, 30 minutes, hours turn to days
Wasted on the sidelines, in this endless maze

Seconds become minutes, minutes turn to years
Time’s a thief in the night, stealing all my tears
Counting every second, but the numbers lie
I’m caught in this illusion, as life passes by

3, 2, 1, too much, I’m out of touch
Overthinking every breath,
would someone be mourning my death?
10, 20, 30 minutes, lifetimes fade to black
Wasted on regrets, no way to turn back

So here I stand, another moment gone
Don't know what's right, everything feels wrong

3, 2, 1, out of sync, with each tick and tock
The hands of time, stuck inside the clock

10, 20, 30 seconds, lost in contemplation's tide
Each moment slips like whispers, fading from my mind

Counting every second, each one a fleeting beat
The clock is ticking louder, beneath my tired feet

3, 2, 1, too late, the hourglass runs dry
Time’s a ghost that haunts me, as the years go by
10, 20, 30 minutes, hours turn to night
Wasted in the darkness, seeking out the light

Counting seconds, each one a silent scream
The clock's run is cruel, erasing every dream
It's chime keeps ticking louder, each beat a distant drum
In this race against myself, there's nowhere left to run

So here I stand, counting shadows,
the echoes of my mind
Lost within moments,
answers I can't find
3, 2, 1, I'm gone, out of touch, I fall
Drowning in the sea of days, with nothing left at all
