Stay with me, don’t let it go.
Time slips through fingers, fast or slow.
I want to keep it, hold it tight,
But the clock keeps ticking, day and night.
Each second fades, no matter the fight,
I feel it slipping out of sight.
I wish I could freeze this moment here,
But time's relentless, far and near.
Don’t run from it.
It will not wait.
No pause, no end, no break,
It’s already too late.
I try to hold on, but the hands still spin,
A losing battle I cannot win.
The future's coming, faster now,
While I just want to stay somehow.
I want to keep this,
Hold it in place.
But the ticking reminds me
I can’t win this race.
Time keeps moving, no matter the fight,
I cling to moments that fade from sight.
And though I beg the hours to stay,
They slip away, they slip away.
