I was stunned when you asked
if you meant anything to me.
How could you not see it?
I could lose my eyesight,
and with you in it,
my world would still be painted in colors
so vivid, so intense,
they'd put sunsets to shame.I don't need to see you.
I need to feel your hands,
the strength, the warmth,
the way they fit into mine like a key in a lock.
I need to breathe you in,
the scent of rain in summer.
I need to hear you,
not just your voice,
but the quiet between your words
that says everything you don’t.I don't need my eyes.
I could live in darkness forever
if it meant hearing the symphony of your voice.
I could wander blindfolded for a thousand lifetimes
if I knew I’d find you waiting at the end.
My hands could trace the art of you,
every line, every curve,
until I knew your form by heart,
until I could sculpt you from memory alone.I could lose the sun, the moon, and the stars,
all their light could vanish,
but with you near,
the world would still be glowing. You ask if you mean anything to me?
You are not just something,
You are everything.
You are the music I follow when the path is lost,
the air I breathe when I forget how,
the fire that warms me in the coldest of nights. No, I don’t need my eyes.
I have you,
and with you,
I see everything.------
I wish one day someone will write something like this and think of me
