I never knew I could be able to see
until your soft skin awakened me.
I didn't realize, I was blind,
until you opened up my mind.
and colors bloomed, where none had been,
and feelings exploded, deep within.
I never knew, my heart could talk,
or how fast my legs could walk,
until you taught them how to run,
and taught my heart to talk.
And the world spun faster, bright and free,
And somehow, everything was what it's supposed to be.
You taught me how to face the night,
To find the beauty in the fight.
The storms don't scare me anymore,
With you, I see beyond their roar.
And in your heart, I find my guide,
My strength, my heart, all magnified.
I didn't realise, I was numb,
until you made me open up.
I didn't realise, I was dead,
until you brought me back to life.
