“LAST PHOTO(Part I)”
"Why do you always take pictures every damn hour?Its pretty creepy you know,"Dominic said while looking at the sunset. I love how he looks beside me so I took a photo of him.
"Creepy, huh?Bakit mo naman nasabi?"sabi ko saka tumingin na din sa sunset.
"Who knows?Baka kuhanan mo rin ako habang naliligo," biro niya saka tumawa. Binaling ko ang tingin ko sa kanya only to see him looking at me too.
"Why not?" I joked too so his smile faded. "Just kidding. I have my limitations Dom. Gusto ko lang talagang marami tayong memories in the future. Something to look back when we got old,"
There, he smiled genuinely. "Okay Camille, you won," he said raising his both hands to surrender. I giggled and took him a photo before he noticed it.
"I hope I look good on that,"
"You always will,"

"Dom, how many seconds would it take for me to reach the lowest part of the cliff in case I jump?" I asked out of the blue as I took a photo of the night and starry sky.
"Are you asking me the time based on the downward motion of the object to the cliff?Distance, speed and gravity are needed," pagyayabang niya.
"So, how many seconds would it take?"
"You know I failed science before, right?" he said and it made me giggle. Sira talaga.
"I knew it," sabi ko nalang saka umupo sa cliff. I dont know, but I feel like the cliff and I would meet again someday.

"You can't tell me that!"
"I'm sorry—"
"Dominic's not dead!You're all lying!"I continued to sob. Tinapik lang ni mommy ang likod ko, inaalo ako.
"Anak I know its hard to understand —"
I suddenly felt rage when I heard her said those words. "How could you say such things when you weren't there for me when I needed you most?!Stop pretending you're concerned coz I know you're not and you will never!"
My tears continue to fall and my mother got dumbfounded by my words so I continued. "Si Dominic lang ang kasama ko palagi. Imagine, of all the people, siya pa!When it should be you! Maybe you plotted this all along. That's what you did right?You plotted dad's death!"
"You know I didn't do that on purpose —"
"But you did, damn it!You don't want us to be happy so you keep ruining our lives!You're a pathetic bitch who doesn't deserve to live!Dapat namatay ka na lang!Sana ikaw nalang at hindi si daddy!"Napayuko siya saka humagulgol samantalang ako naman ay tumayo at tinakbo si Dominic sa kwarto niya.

"M-Ms. Camille, pinapasundo kayo ni ma'am —"
"Ayoko,"matigas kong sagot. She's the reason why Dom died. I dont know how, but surely it was her.
"Ma'am urgent daw po,"
"Ayoko pa rin,"
"Ma'am hindi naman sa nanghihimasok ako pero araw araw pinagsisisihan ng mommy niyo ang ginawa niya sa daddy mo. Sana naman bigyan mo lang siya ng pagkakataon dahil lahat naman tayo nagkakamali,"
"Yaya, please just stop,"
"Ma'am huling pabor na to ng mommy niyo. Pagkatapos hinding hindi na siya magpapakita pa sa inyo,"

And the moment I saw her, I knew I wouldn't see her again.
I was dumbfounded at the sight of my mommy hanging under our ceiling, wide and teary eyes and lifeless.
My mom's maid was horrified by the scene that she suddenly burst out of crying. Samantalang ako, hindi man lang makaiyak sa gulo ng nararamdaman ko.
Napatingin ako sa table at nakita ko ang isang sulat. Kinuha ko ito kahit nanginginig ang buong katawan ko.
My tears start falling upon reading the letter. Suddenly I felt guilt misjudging her. Akala ko kasi totoong plinano ni mommy ang pagkamatay ni daddy. All my life kasi I'm a daddy's girl. But it turns out that dad had secret affairs before. Mom decided to work on divorce papers sa America but dad declined kasi ayaw niya na masira ang pagkakatingin ko sa kanya. It ended up dad hurting mom. Isang araw, nandilim ang paningin ni mom at napatay niya si daddy.
The lawyer saw the divorce papers that mom made so he concluded a story fast. Iyon ang pinaniwalaan ko. Dominic died not because of her too, but because of someone she didn't know.
I feel terrible. Alam kong mali na pinaratangan ko si mommy. Ever since dad died, all I were able to show to her was hatred. Ni sa huling beses hindi man lamang ako nakapag-sorry.
Ang tanga ko. Napangunahan ako ng galit.
And I wish it wasn't to late to fix everything.
