Regulus' first year at Hogwarts:

Regulus walked the halls of his school as usual, being aware that even though he was only in his first year, people had expectations of him and how he should act around others. This also came from his family's reputation, all his cousins as well as his brother went to Hogwarts with him and they had all made their mark. Even Sirius, who despite being sorted into a different house, still carried that certain "noble elegance" with him when he passed through.
Regulus of course knew him better than that, and could confidently say that when describing Sirius, "elegance" and "nobility" weren't the first two things to come to mind. Didn't even make the top five.
Despite this though, there was one person Regulus couldn't shake, James Potter. Another well known family, that Regulus had been given strict instructions not to befriend, yet whenever Regulus least expected it, James would show up with a smile and follow him around, happily talking about his day and asking Regulus about his own.
Regulus was walking towards the fountain in the courtyard where him and one of his other friends, Pandora, would do their homework on nice days. Regulus paused when he spotted a blonde Ravenclaw walking over to Pandora and tapping her on the shoulder.
Regulus slowed his pace so he could hear them without interrupting, he'd only interfere if needed but Pandora was one of the strongest people he'd ever met, emotionally he meant, Regulus thought fondly of Pandora as an adult, she would be a great mum and maybe aunty if Regulus ever had a kid.
"Hello Pandora, sorry if I interrupted your reading but I wanted to ask you something" the Ravenclaw stood nervously in front of her and smiled, handing her something he made? crafted? Regulus couldn't quite tell what the tangle of wool, rocks and string actually was.
Pandora looked up happily and Regulus watched her hug the boy before seeing him go bright red as Pandora kissed him on the cheek. Regulus tried to hide his smile as the boy held his cheek with a jaw dropped expression before quickly waving Pandora off, leaving Pandora on the bench giddy with excitement as she waved Regulus over.
"Reg!-ulus" Pandora adjusted her tone as she watched two whispering slytherins walk past, two of which she knew were friends with Bellatrix. Pandora wouldn't be surprised if Bellatrix was sending spies around the school to keep Regulus from straying away back to his brother.
"Hello, Pandora. Who was that?"
"My valentine" Pandora blushed, showing off the little arts and crafts piece that Regulus had observed earlier.
"Valentine?" Regulus tilted his head confused,
"Yes! It's the 14th of February Regulus, you know what that means! I'm sure someone like you has already received something" Pandora reached her hand out for Regulus to take, who took it and walked over to where she was sitting.
