Her husband was currently holding her in his arms, under the covers this morning as they just held each other close. He just knew that it would help his wife, help her calm down and relax as she stroked his chest. At the same time, Matt left soft kisses on his wife's forehead as he tried to calm her down and stroked her arm with his thumb. Just laying her head down on Matt's chest, Gabby continued to stroke her husband's chest with her thumb as she made sure to breathe the entire time that they were cuddled up to each other in bed; still unaware of just what she's going to want to do at the moment. Does she even want to bother going back downstairs? Or does she want to stay here with her husband as she needs to breathe? Does she want to concentrate on her pregnancy and the fact that she needs to breathe? Or does she want to go spend time with their friends who just came here today? There are so many things that are in the wife's mind right now.

And that's something that Matt hates. The fact that she's trying to balance relaxing in bed with his pregnant wife, and trying to be with his best friend as he mourns for his father. But he does know something, that his wife will always come first. His wife and their children are the most important people in his world, and that will never change; which was something that Matt knew, and it was why he was here. Turning his head, Matt left a kiss on his wife's forehead before putting his hand on hers and stroked it with his thumb. Just looking at the woman of his dreams, Matt took a breath as he left another kiss on her forehead to make sure she just took it easy right now. That's when the silence that was currently in the room was broken by the sound of the pregnant wife speaking to her loving husband. "Did I really just hear that? Did I really just hear that my brother slept with the bitch?" The bitch being Sylvie. Matt knew all too well that was the name they used for her.

Taking a breath after he heard Gabby ask him whether he just heard that Antonio slept with Sylvie, Matt looked down at his wife. "As much as I wish I could deny the fact that you just heard that your brother slept with Sylvie, I can't do that for you baby." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, just hating that he can't do that for her; and she knows that he hates that. Taking a breath, Gabby just tried to figure out what to say right now. "Are you okay babe?" Gabby took a breath. "Yeah, I am trying to be okay; I can get past this." Matt shook his head when Gabby said that, not wanting her to just get past this with her brother. "Hey, don't you dare think that you can just get past this baby. Gabby, we both know that this is a real betrayal from the man who should be the second most reliable man in your world." Gabby looked up at Matt when he said that. "Second?" Matt smiled at his wife. "I'm first as your husband." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that.

"Yeah, that makes sense." Matt smiled when she told him that, proceeding to kiss her forehead softly. Afterwards, Matt just looked down at the woman of his dreams. Matt then watched as Gabby proceeded to crawl into his lap, cuddling up to him as that was what she needed right now. She needed to cuddle up to her man so that he could hold her in his arms properly, which is something that she really wanted at the moment. She wanted to be held by the man of her dreams, which he will always do for her. Putting his hand on Gabby's baby bump, Matt smiled as she wrapped her arms around his torso and slipped her legs in between his. Afterwards, Gabby laid her head down on his heart and just went ahead and listened to it as a way to calm herself down. "What did you do to him?" Matt laughed when Gabby asked him whether he did something to Antonio. "I may not have done something to Antonio, but I can tell you that Severide is going to do something to him."

Gabby just looked up at Matt when he said that. "You asked your best friend to take care of my brother rather than you?" Matt agreed with his wife when she asked him that. "Yeah, I did. Sorry, I know that I should have but..." Gabby shook her head when Matt said that. "I'm glad that you came up here, as I need you right now." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that, running his hand up and down her back as they both held each other close. "Baby, I am always going to come up here if you need me. Gabby, you're my priority; you and the boys will always be my priority." Gabby agreed with me when I said that, looking up at her loving husband. Matt then moved his hand to the back of her head, bending down to kiss the woman of his dreams. Just taking things nice and slow with his gorgeous wife, Matt smiled as he was happy to be holding her right now. Even thought the circumstances weren't the best, he does know that him being here was nice.
