She slept fondly, her tail tangled in the sheets of the bed. The sheets were fine silk, dyed in the prince- King's color. Odin was still fast asleep, Thor was forbidden to take the throne. Odin and he had gotten into a scuffle before he fell. He then decreed Thor was not yet ready to take the throne till he befriended a beast so deadly that all the 9 realms would cower in its shadow. Then only then would he realize the importance of allyship and peace and be ready to take the throne. Her ears slightly flickered as he gazed at her sleeping form. The emerald green nightgown she wore clung even better to her body, Loki felt as if he was meeting her again for the first time. All he wanted to do was climb into those sheets with her and wrap his hands in her own.

But it was too soon. His plan hadn't reached the climax yet, his plan. The one he made an hour after he spoke to the wolf for something that lasted hours. But to him, it felt like seconds falling off the clock. He'd remove every single poppy from the garden, something she was slightly allergic to. Even if her sneezes were like a newborn pup's, even if it made her so flustered she blushed. That was something he'd keep in the back of his head for later. He had what he always wanted, the throne, the crown, everything. But she was new, unexpected. And definitely not unwelcomed. It had only been a few weeks since she had thundered into the throne room, demanding to see someone who had been gone for centuries. Her ears flickered once again, but he knew she wouldn't wake up. Y/n was a heavy sleeper, like most canines. He sat beside her on the bed, helmet in hand. Loki lay beside her, legs crossed. Just enjoying what could be- what would be- Soon enough.

He had offered her a chamber, a bed with the softest of fabrics until his father awakened. He had slipped the nightgown into her room a week ago, hoping she'd take a liking to it. And how that worked, he smiled. He loved how green looked on her, he hoped he'd like gold just as much. Considering that's what her crown would be made of. He had already started the preparations for melding it. But first, he needed to finish his plan, he needed to make sure Odin wouldn't wake up and find the reason why she was here. But that laid the issue, she would be first in line for the throne. Hela was the eldest, not to mention seemingly the strongest. Y/n had told him tales of her strength on the battlefield. It left little to be imagined. Yes, he wanted to give her anything she wanted, but the one thing she did want- was out of reach. For now. Loki sighed, caressing the fluff of her ears. Before getting up, locking the door behind him. He had business before he could spend time with her again. The quicker it was done, the quicker he could see her again. Hopefully, he could watch her wake up, if he sped the meeting up fast enough.

"Odin is still asleep, all 9 realms know we are in a vulnerable period." The General spoke, Loki sat on his throne, chin high."And you think I am not performing my duties well enough?" It was silent. Loki stood up, "Asgard hasn't been this productive since the dark ages. Our herbs are larger, Cattle healthier- Children can play in the streets safely." Loki said sternly, Spectre in his other hand. "I am ready to show my wrath to any who oppose me. Our armies are ready." The general gulped, "The Queen is still mourning-" "That is none of your concern." It was silent in the golden room until finally, Vandral spoke up. "We are housing a stranger in our walls- while our king sleeps- is that not a plan for disaster?"

Loki's eyes slit, "Stranger?" He stepped towards the man, "She has been here long before you- and will be long after. It is her kingdom as much as yours- more even." The crowd seemed shocked. They hadn't seen Loki this angry since his outburst after Thor's coronation. But now Loki had the throne, his outburst could easily mean their heads now. So they held their tongues, "Address her by Wepwawet. No one is to speak her name." Wepwawet was her formal name, her Egyptian given name. Y/n was personal to him, he didn't want to hear a single other man utter it."If I hear a single one of you disrespect our guest, I'll have your heads." Why was he so protective over some wolf? Vandral had a suspicion about why.
