"Hey, I wasn't here last week- I heard we got new seats right? Emy said they picked one for me." You ask your teacher. She was a nice woman, and gave you the respect you deserved- it couldn't be said the same with your other teachers. I already loved this class, and my seat- but if we moved that even further back in the class we could get away with so much more shenanigans. "oh yes- number 13. Row 2." She smiled, pointing to a seat. You felt your heart drop. You sat next to the very person who had consistently called you slurs and constantly shit-talked you because of how you dressed. Why would Emy do this? They said they got me covered- I don't get it- why would she do this? What did I do? How could she do this?I thought we both liked this class together- she said she saved me a seat- Why didn't she care? Your thoughts were scattering across your head as you sat down, the girl beside you whispering already. You felt eyes all on you in the classroom- though- were they there? You had been on anxiety meds for weeks- clearly, I wasn't prepared for Emy. You look around the class to get a scope of the layout. Tears slightly brimming your eyes, you finally saw them. My friends all sitting together in the back of the class. That's all I wanted- to sit and have fun with my friends before we split ways in high school. You hold back your stupid tears and shakily sneak your phone into the desk.
You texted your 'guardian' the Avengers had bothered you with a parent-like figure the past few months. This guardian was Stephen Strange. He had volunteered to take you in as your home was- broken, to say the least. You were alone. Alone with reality-bending powers. That mix began to act up in emotion. You cleared your message and switched to text Wanda. Your friend, she helped you- though she was in need of that herself. 'Can you pick me up? I'm Flaring' you think of texting. Within a few minutes of you biting your lip to stop the tears and power surges. You sigh and lean back. A few mutual seated in front of you, kept giving you glances. You raise your hand and shakily ask to go the bathroom, before all-out teleporting when leaving everyone's sight.
After a few tries you finally get the right location of your current foster home- With Doctor Strange, along with a few other variants. You stumble across the hall to your room, holding back your tears when someone spoke "Y/N! Skipping- really? You do know some of you don't even get the opportunity to attend school." Strange scolds, he appeared from thin air as usual. You just keep walking, knowing you'd break soon. "Y/N! You will listen to me- I may not-" he continues before being cut off by your input "FUCK- OFF!" You yell, letting a surge out, along with your tears. He was knocked back through a few walls. You breathe heavily, as you turn around to return to your room. When you run into a shoulder, "Did you kill him? Way to steal the fun."
Kid Loki, who had also been fostered for the time being. His face immediately changed when he saw yours. You almost scoff and continue into your 'room', slamming the door shut. You shove items off shelves and desks just to get the thoughts out of your head. Finally, you step back into a wall and slide down, hugging your knees. Loki growled, now picking your magic lock. Which was much harder than he anticipated. But after 4 minutes, he had gotten it down. When he saw you, his cold heart cracked. "I told you that 'school' was a terrible idea." He says.
You let out another burst, saying "Get out" but you held back the impact. For once, just hoped he'd listen. "Those- people in 'school' mistreat you don't they?" He asks. "Dammit- I said go away Loki!" You finally say, he knew he had gotten it right. "I'll be back." He says, walking away. You finally sigh and close the door with magic. Your phone rang, you ignore it. Until it ran for another 5 minutes straight. You finally answer, and as you were about to insult the caller, a familiar voice spoke "I'm sorry- I-I'm sorry Y/n! I should've- saved you a spot!" A voice quivered, it was your friend. "I'm sorry-sorry too! I was just teasi-" The second voice was the bully you previously knew. Previously- as she was cut off. "It was- IT was Sara!- her and her friends took the spot we were gonna save for you-" she pleaded, cutting the final groan and cut out. "Emy?.." you call.
The phone then hung up. You tried to text her, but your magic clocked your phone into- a well clock. You threw your now- clock at the wall in anger. You just covered your face and curled up on the hard carpeted ground. Your door burst open minutes later. You flinch, just to see Loki, holding some items. "I heard.. that girl's like chocolate and ice cream when upset. So I supplied you with so. My mother always liked a good Sage. So, I also brought that." Loki said, looking to the floor before you. "Now off the floor! The floor is for Peasants you know?" Loki says, placing the gifts down and stepping in front of you. "Up." He repeated. Before you could answer he had shapeshifted into a black bear and picked you up, placing you on the bed.
He transforms back before lighting a sage and letting it flow through the room. You just hid your face in your pillow, embarrassed. "The sage won't work if you don't take it in Y/n," Loki said, snatching the pillow. He noticed a few stray tears- making his eyes widen a bit. "So.. this school... what is it built of?" Loki asks, "Bricks I presume.. most Midgardian structures are. They can be flammable." He says. "It's not like I'll be allowed to go back there anyway!" you complain, turning in the bed so your back was to him. Loki places the Sage down on your dresser, before climbing into bed with you, flatly. "My mother.. Used to tell me a tale of a Rose." He begins, "Who grew in a patch of red. Only for her to be black."
"And when families came to take their bouquets and flowers to their loved ones, she stayed." "One day.. She saw a bee fly by. The bee would ignore her cries of Loneliness every passing day." "Until a Moth playing prey from a sparrow hid in her petals. She let him stay as long as he needed, as the two began to talk they noticed they were the same." "The moth carried her pollen to the rest of the field around her in his gratitude." "But it didn't work, every rose bloomed red." "He heard her cries grow louder. So he returned every night." "And the two watched the field get picked and move, Together Forever." Loki finishes.
"No way it ends like that." you object. "Don't like the ending?" he asks. "Why would no one want a black rose? They're just as pretty as a red one!" you argue, turning around to face him in the bed. "The Moth wanted her." Loki argued in return, "Did she know that?!" "No!" "Why would she-" Loki shoved his lips on yours, gripping your shoulders. You jumped up from the sudden action, but melt into the kiss easily. You feel him smile and move his hands down to your waist. As you break he wipes your tears. "No need to waste those drops on them," he says, pulling the covers over himself and you.
"Sleep with me," Loki said, catching you off guard. "Are you sure you know what that means?" you question, "those eye bags don't tell lies." you look down a bit in embarrassment. You both lay back after you took one last sigh. "Would I be allowed to do this?" he asks, wrapping his arms around you. "Yeah.. You can," you assure, blushing.
"I burnt down the school."
