They found themselves inside Jisoo's office.
Jisoo figured it was Jennie's safe haven because of how she could barely stand in the other rooms of the apartment.
She watched as her girl would sit on her chair, quietly rummaging through things and even sometimes sit on the floor, seemingly hiding underneath the desk.
Even so Jennie would be in deep thought, always having something in her hand that reminded her of the good times they both shared.
Jisoo crawled to her desk, poking her head underneath the desk she asked silently if she was allowed.
She faced the brunette while crossing her legs.
She could leave, everything that we had would just be history. I don't want that, I don't know if I could handle that. I'm afraid of being alone, not again. Not like this. She makes life easier.
We celebrated our 5th anniversary together recently, we talked about going on for longer. I was planning to marry her, how did it become like this?
"If it isn't the same, will you still stay?" Jisoo whispered.
Jennie nodded, but it wasn't without tears. She didn't take long to give Jisoo a second chance.
A sense of relief washed over Jisoo. "Y-You'll stay?"
Jennie nodded once more, holding back her sob she buried her head into her knees.
To hold, to touch and to comfort, would it be right?
The Lieutenants heart wasn't in the right place, begging Jennie to stay was selfish but she wanted it so bad. She knew Jennie had every damn right to leave, belittle her and shout.
I am a fool.
I don't know how I will be by myself without you.
I don't want to try.
She took the chance and pulled Jennie close to her. There was some resistance but it soon let up and Jennie had been crying in Jisoo's lap by then.
The Lieutenant stroked Jennie's head, whispering soothing words to get her to cry less. She would feel Jennie's trembling lips on her skin every now and then, but she never felt a kiss.
They saw the sunrise together but stayed there at that very spot till the sunset, in quiet.

The hardest part with continuing their lives was how uncomfortable it was knowing in the back of their heads, Jisoo had cheated.
It would never be the same, and Jennie was right about it.
Jisoo would wake up first, as opposed to Jennie.
For the first couple of days she wasn't sure if she could still touch her and kiss her, but soon she had given the sleeping brunette a kiss on the cheek everyday she woke up.
But when it was time for bed they slept far apart. Sometimes Jisoo felt so guilty she'd sleep outside on the couch.
Every single day, Jisoo would wake up to breakfast made, coffee done and her lunch packed.
So it was Jennie who woke up before her, but would fall asleep before it was time.
At work Jisoo worked better than previous weeks but it was just the minimum to get by.
She did a good enough of a job to not get fired, but the lingering chaotic mess of their relationship put a damper on her feeling.
When she ate lunch, her lunch box had always contain a small note or doodle by Jennie for years.
