The Lieutenant pressed the elevator button, eyes bloodshot and body aching she responded to her call to the security agency in the morning.
She had only been at the L.A headquarters once, and that was when she arrived to check in and get her equipment from her locker.
She looked like a mess as she stared at herself from the clean mirror like chrome on the wall.
She barely managed to get up from the floor, her head pounded but she brushed her hair and had brushed her teeth, she didn't even bother changing out of her clothes because to her, nothing mattered anymore.
The signs were clear for her that everything she worked up to fight off inside of her was going to happen again and she knew she was going to spiral down into deep depression if she didn't get help as soon as possible.
The Lieutenant kept her head down, moving into the on call room because she was going to gather some items before she was going to go meet her chief in her office.
She suspected she was going to get a formal firing from the woman in person, but she just didn't want to hear it. It was going to take a huge chunk of her pride away and she wanted to delay it a bit more.
She feared she wouldn't be able to take it.
Just as she went into the room she saw no one there. She figured, since after the Oscars everything and everyone was under investigation.
It was only a matter of time they questioned her.
She opened her locker and took stuff out, laying her uniform on the bed. She was busy clearing it out she didn't hear the door slide open.
The click of heels was still muffled for her. Her eardrum was still ruptured and she couldn't hear much.
"Jisoo."
The Lieutenant was busy unloading her gun and she felt the person stand beside her.
She glanced to the side and nodded, placing the gun back into the locker.
"Ma'am." She said quietly and as politely as she could.
"I heard about your incident."
"I'm sorry, Ma'am." Jisoo gulped, coming to her senses.
Her chief laughed. "You look guilty and nervous."
"I was called here, and I'm expecting to be fired anyway."
"Who said that?"
Jisoo shrugged. "Had a feeling anyway. What are you doing here? Did you want to fire me as soon as you can instead of me coming to your office."
Her chief cocked a brow and smiled sweetly. "No."
Jisoo blinked.
"I'm not going to fire you."
"I almost killed my own co worker." Jisoo reminded.
"Yeah, he came in complaining to me. You're quite a threat, Lieutenant."
Jisoo scoffed. "And apparently one of your clients complained about me too so.."
Her chief shook her head, standing closer to her. "I'm not going to fire you."
She touched Jisoo's back, seeing all the splotches of blood.
"You look like you've been pulled through war." She joked.
I'm at a war with myself.
Jisoo merely nodded, wanting to leave as soon as possible.
She felt a finger trace her back. "Do you want me to clean this up for you." Her chief whispered.
