"Hey Jendeukie."

"Hi baby, are you coming home now?"

"Yeah, I just picked up the food, will be home in 15."

"Okay, but do you mind getting me one of those body pillows down at Target?"

"Body pillow? Okay. I'll see what I can do."

"Mkay, love you."

"Love you too."

"Drive safe, okay?"

"Understood ma'am."

Jennie had the cutest giggle and it made the Lieutenant smile. The phone call soon ended and Jisoo drove to the nearest store for said pillow.

When she turned into a street her eyes caught the flashing red and blue lights. Officers were in heavy vests and armed. Most of them stood behind their cars or some sort of coverage with their guns out.

Pedestrians cowered behind objects too, too afraid to move forward in fear of what would happen.

She saw how scattered some of the bloody victims were laying there in pain but some of the officers were there trying to help them.

She pulled her car to a stop and immediately opened the glove department and wore her lanyard and badge.

Jisoo happened to take her gun too, only for safety.

The Lieutenant turned her radio on hearing all sorts of radio transmissions as she jogged to one of the many police cars scattered around the streets.

She spotted Lisa and patted her back. "What the hells going on?" She said.

Lisa pulled on her cap and radioed in for more back up. "There's a reported gun shot in the barber shop, couple customers held hostage or something."

The Lieutenant cursed underneath her breath. "Active shooter?"

"Yeah, there's at least 12 of us here more coming. We need a couple of ambulances and if we don't get this shit under control there's a high probability we'd need to call in SWAT."

The Lieutenant ground her teeth. She went over to pop open a police trunk and slip on a bullet proof vest.

When two gun shots rang out from the barber shop, the Lieutenant and many others ducked.

Screams echoed through the streets and she heard cries from kids inside the store.

The Lieutenant whistled, gathering her colleague's attention.

"Hold your position." She said.

The Lieutenant quickly crept up to the side of the barber shop, gesturing for one or two of her colleagues to come with her.

She pressed her head against the wall, just waiting for something when she peeked over the corner and saw some man in the corner of the barber shop kneeled against the chair.

The Lieutenant had her gun to the side before she stepped in cautiously with a couple of her colleagues trailing behind her.

But as soon as she took two steps and realized the man had a kid in his arms he shot at her and her colleagues multiple times.

The Lieutenant immediately dove to the side and was on the floor.

"Cover cover cover!" She yelled.

She saw the kid tucked away in the man's arms and flicked her head to the side, watching her colleagues pull the trigger.
