As promised, she met with Dara at her hotel, signing a small paper agreement. She even got paid directly today but money was the least of her worries.
She always wondered why Dara knew so much about the security team, but then she realized that the woman's was seeing her boss's son.
Dara made her swear to her that if the Lieutenant made Jennie cry, she would personally tie her up against a tree and jam her legs with a car.
She made her promise her that she kept an eye on Jennie and what not, and the Lieutenant agreed.
She told her where the designer was for the day, and gave her keys to the company's car.
She formally bowed to Dara, realizing that this boss was scarier, but somehow felt like family.
The Lieutenant 20 minutes later was walking along the boardwalk, scouring for the designer.
She saw the back of her, and her profile and she seemed to have a smile.
She stood behind Jennie without her knowing, becoming nervous in an instant. The designer was tried to pay attention to her publicist.
"Ms. Kim, what your relationship status currently?"
"Um."
"Sources haven't broken the news that you're pregnant. Although, once you do go on the runway you might have to reconsider dresses if you don't want them to hound you on it."
"Well sooner or later I can't hide the baby bump now, can I?"
Her publisher smiled and shook her head. "Once the baby grows, it's like a backpack you carry around all the time."
Jennie giggled. "I'm not sure what to say?"
"I think it's better to just say you're currently single and.. expecting a baby sometime soon."
"Do you always prepare statements this early?"
"Better safe then sorry."
"Um. Would it.. be kind of.. you know. I think there's going to be a lot of commotion with me being the baby momma.. next thing you know I'm like Zac Efron's girlfriend or something."
"What would you like to say then?"
"Well, I wouldn't say I'm not in a relationship. I am."
"Oh. Okay. We'll just say that then."
Jennie nodded, agreeing with what the lady wrote down.
"I'll see you for dinner?"
"Mhm. Bring your kids, I want to feed them chicken strips."
Her publicist shook her head, waving goodbye.
The designer totally forgot where they walked to because she turned around, intending to go back home or something but found Jisoo right behind her, bumping into her.
Her heart started to waver and she didn't want to look at her in the eye.
"Jisoo?" She asked softly.
Jisoo nodded. "Dara hired me, as an independent guard.."
"Oh, okay." She said quietly.
"Temporarily though." She muttered. Jennie had a soft smile and walked past her.
The Lieutenant gulped, seeing Jennie so distant. Her mind went to the moment she said she was in a relationship. She overheard everything she was talking about.
Is she talking about me?
Either way they continued on with their day. She was to attend a red carpet for an award show, not sure which but it was a bit minor.
