Jennie hid her tears as she left the apartment, she stood at the curb waiting for Chaeyoung but the whole time she keeps crying quietly.
She wiped them away, trying not to ruin her makeup.
The designer couldn't help it, not when Jisoo was a whole different person than a couple of weeks ago where she left her because of how fucked up she was.
That kiss. Why does it affect me more than it should?
Everything was overwhelming, everything was fucked up. She didn't known how to handle it.
Coming back home felt like a mistake but it was a right choice.
She saw the headlights of a car approaching and she quickly put on face, acting her best as if she wasn't crying seconds ago.
"Chaeyoungie! Chipmunkie!" She squealed as the car rolled up.
"Zip it, we don't talk about that horrendous nickname in public." Chaeyoung mumbled as the designer climbed into the passenger.
"Chaeyoungie! Chipmunkie!" Jennie cooed, arms outstretched.
Chaeyoung rolled her eyes, teasingly hugging her best friend.
The whole car ride Jennie talked about her stay at London and how everything was going great.
She already told Chaeyoung about her pregnancy after she found out, Chaeyoung didn't touch on the topic and she didn't tell Jisoo because she knew Jennie would've liked to do it.
Plus, it wasn't necessarily her business.
"Jiyoungie is on a flight right now to London, I can't wait to see him when I get back." Jennie beamed.
Chaeyoung hummed. "Well he hasn't been shutting up about it for days."
"Joohyunie was like that too, you know she's trying to woo this millionaire and I think it's working."
"Miss her." Chaeyoung said, turning down the radio.
"We miss you! When are you going to fly out?"
"Like, visit or move?"
"Move." The designer said with a pointed finger, annoying the driver endearingly.
Chaeyoung shrugged, handing Jennie a milkshake and the takeout from the drive through. "Not sure yet, still have some unfinished business here. I don't know if I want to leave my family alone just yet."
"I mean, you'll always come back and visit?"
"I can't just drop everything and move, Jennie unnie. It's different. What you call home is different than what I call home."
Jennie swallowed, understanding where she was coming from.
"But like you were so excited to move, you supported the decision and I fought tooth and nail just to prove myself I can be trustworthy enough to bring you guys along with me." Jennie reasoned, getting a bit defensive.
"I'm not searching for a job promotion, unnie."
"Then what's keeping you here?" The brunette asked, dropping a couple of fries back into the bag.
The taller girl didn't say much but when they arrived at her house Chaeyoung busied herself pulling Jennie's stuff out of the trunk. Jennie tried to help, but Chaeyoung insisted and it was quiet.
As soon as Jennie sat down beside Chaeyoung on her couch she faced the woman, feeling a bit worried.
"Did something happen when I was out of town?"
