The Lieutenant knocked on the door, waiting for Jennie to open it so they could start their day.
But when she stood there patiently, there wasn't an answer.
"Ms. Kim?" She called again.
She heard no footsteps past that door so she took out a copy of Jennie's apartment key and unlocked it herself.
The Lieutenant walked in quietly, respectfully knocking on the door just to let Jennie know she was there.
"Ms. Kim?"
Even Jennie's puppies were nowhere to be seen.
Her senses were on alert, she treated this as unusual because Jennie was always punctual.
Plus, Jisoo was observant and remembered Jennie's routine. At this time the woman would be busy filling up the dog's food bowls.
The Lieutenant locked the door behind her, carefully stepping on the tiled floors she checked the rooms starting from the left.
The bodyguard made her way around, and carefully pocketed her lanyard as if to not make any sound.
The bedroom door to Jennie's room was not closed all the way, it was slightly open and the Lieutenant presses her ear against the adjacent wall.
She heard nothing and opened the door, letting it creek she stopped herself just to make sure Jennie wasn't changing or something.
But she found the bed a bit messy with no one in it.
She reached up to her ear, about to phone in and call a code red, missing client.
But she heard the small whimpers coming from the bathroom and she calmly stepped forward, trying to make the least amount of sounds she had a hand on her gun, about to pull it out as she pushed the door open.
Jennie was grasping the side of the tub, sitting on the floor curled up she was in absolute tears and Jisoo rushed over to Jennie, kneeling down.
"Jen? What's wrong?" She asked softly, hands holding Jennie's shoulders, her heart pumped wildly, she was so worried.
Jennie leaned her head against the tub, holding onto Jisoo's hand tightly.
She whimpered in response, clutching her stomach. "It hurts, Chu it hurts so much."
"What hurts? Your stomach?"
Jennie nodded, she lurched forward and Jisoo thought the woman was going to hug her but she rushed by her and leaned over the toilet bowl.
The Lieutenant squatted beside the brunette, rubbing her back as the woman went through with her morning sickness.
Jisoo didn't exactly know what to do, she felt herself stumble over stupid things and she decided to just rub Jennie's back, holding her hair back for her.
"It'll be okay. Is there something I can do for you?"
Jennie whimpered, sitting back on her butt her head was hammering.
Jisoo's hand brushed against hers and Jennie reached out for it, holding onto it tightly once more the woman hiccuped and crawled into Jisoo's lap, resting her head on her shoulder.
"I feel so nauseous. My head hurts Jichu." She said, quite endearingly.
Jisoo held her breath, feeling the extra warmth from Jennie.
A couple of minutes of coaxing Jennie, she held Jennie tightly, getting up with all her might she carried Jennie who kept stroking Jisoo's back, zoning out.
