Jisoo stood there, watching Jennie laugh and smile while linking arms with another person.
They shared a couple of kisses and loving glances.
It's as if she stood there like an invisible person walking wherever they were.
Jennie and the person went on dates. Bought each other things, did things together.
The worst part was when the other person kissed Jennie on the lips and she seemed so happy about that.
The way they hold hands in public as if nothing had broken them in the first place made her feel some type of way.
When the couple looked at the Lieutenant, Jennie shrugged.
"You cheated on me, what did you expect?"
It bore right into her heart, hurting like hell and taking her breath away in the worst possible way.
As if the weight of the world fell on her shoulders and caused her to collapse under the unfathomable hurt.
Knocked her right out, winded her.
Speechless, she couldn't say a word.
She couldn't think of a word.
Jisoo opened her eyes and sat up, breathing harshly.
She felt herself become extremely warm, but her heart was beating faster than the speed of light.
She got out of bed, stumbling out of it. She fumbled with the door and ran into the living room, finding no one there.
She eyed every door and that was her next target because she went through each and every one of them, finding no one inside.
Her heart sank, she didn't know if it was real anymore till she went back in her room, her back pressed against the closed door she felt herself closing in the dark room.
She had tears in her eyes, the feeling of losing Jennie again felt too real, it terrified her.
She was confused, she didn't know if it was real.
So she sat there, facing the bed, she didn't know what to do.
Jennie watched the whole ordeal go down, seeing Jisoo's frantic notions. She had woke up to the sound of the Lieutenant shuffling about the bed, murmuring things in her sleep.
She didn't react or say anything, wanting to see how it played out first.
Her heart broke at the sight, wondering if Jisoo went through this or much worse when they broke up and when she was away.
She got up from the bed, tip toeing quietly she turned on the light and Jisoo looked at Jennie in disbelief.
"Did you move on? Do you have someone else? Are you- are you real?"
Jennie nodded, sitting beside Jisoo who suddenly hugged her tightly, breathing against her neck.
"I-I thought I lost you." Jisoo murmured.
"It was just a bad dream Jichu."
"It seemed so real, I thought I really lost you again."
"Hm." Jennie hummed, sensing the fear in Jisoo's eyes.
You're doing it.
You're.. overthinking.
You're worrying now, you're going to think about the worst possible outcomes, you're going to be pessimistic.
