5 hours, sitting in the car.

Alone.

5 hours thinking, and hours of lifelessly looking at her surroundings, the Lieutenant in truth didn't leave the car nor did she drive away from where Jennie last saw her.

Still in front of Jennie's apartment, the Lieutenant didn't go anywhere.

She feared what Jennie feared too.

She didn't know if she could control herself. She wasn't sure what she would do.

I'm afraid of doing something stupid too.

Look what happened last time.

What she thought about though was blank. The space between her ears was empty.

The thought of her and her relationship with Jennie short circuited her brain.

She always thought of them, but when she was left alone to really think about it she couldn't.

It came up blank in her mind, surprisingly time went by fast with her empty thoughts and soon she got out of the car and made her way upstairs.

With 10 minutes to spare before 9.

Jisoo went into the bedroom finding Jennie sitting up with a night light on waiting for her.

She didn't say much but went into the closet and pulled out a blanket and a pillow.

The designer placed her book down, about to say something.

You really did come home before 9.

Jisoo walked so fast and left the room it didn't leave a moment for Jennie to tell her to sleep in the room tonight with her.

She stood up and walked quietly into the living room.

Jisoo carelessly threw the pillow and blanket on the couch. She dug into her pockets and threw her phone and wallet quite harshly on the table too.

The sounds hurting Jennie's ears, lately she's been more sensitive to it.

The Lieutenant took off her jacket and unbuttoned her dress shirt and walked to the dining table where Jennie apologetically left some leftovers for her.

But the Lieutenant didn't heat any of them up. Instead she grabbed the spoon and ate right out of the plate without heating anything up.

It looked so pitiful, but she kind of got the sense that Jisoo didn't care.

Jisoo looked angry, upset, and could she dare to say, bitter?

I was too harsh on you, I didn't mean it to be like that.

I feel so bad I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have.

Jisoo ate quite fast, and when she was done she dropped the spoon on the plate and pushed it aside, getting up.

Jennie hid behind the wall, thinking Jisoo would walk to her direction but when she heard the couch shuffle she peeked out.

Jisoo had dimmed the lights and pulled the blanket around her intending to go to sleep so early in the night.

Jennie knew Jisoo hated sleeping in her work clothes. She also knew Jisoo didn't like to sleep in new places.

So being on the couch she was going to predict that the Lieutenant wouldn't have a good sleep.

She walked over to the Lieutenant, sitting on the floor next to her. She pulled on the blanket gently, wondering if Jisoo is awake.

"Jisoo?" She whispered.
