The Lieutenant came back with a tray of hot drinks for her parents and a cup of ice cream for her lady.

Her mother clocked Jennie for eating a cold treat on a cold day but the designer bit her lip, almost spilling out her news and the reason why she liked ice cream to a whole new greater extent.

But she wanted to save it just a bit longer.

The Lieutenant knelt down and tied Jennie's shoes, but the designer couldn't stop swinging her legs because she was sitting on a bench and she had a habit of doing it.

"Careful, you wouldn't want to give Jisoo another black eye, would you?"

Jennie giggled seeing Jisoo frown and scratch the side of her head. She scooted over the bench, making room for Jisoo.

"How did you even get that injury? You look disgusting."

Jisoo rolled her eyes. "Thanks mom, you practically called me ugly."

Mama Kim clicked her tongue. "You know what I meant."

"You should've seen it when it was fresh, it was swollen, purple, red, bloody, and there were so many bandages." Jennie mumbled over her ice cream, biting on the spoon. "If you thought the ear was bad, her temple was horrendous, it was like a failed science experience—"

"Alright! No more colourful language about my ear, or head!" Jisoo said.

Mama Kim shook her head. "Take better care of yourself Jisoo." Her mother nagged, it was followed up by Jennie's 'I told you so.'

"Yes, ma."

Jennie turned to Jisoo's father, the man was busy sipping on coffee looking at the fountain.

The man was really fond of fountains, for some reason he liked looking at them for a long time. Jisoo couldn't provide a reason why he did it, but he did.

"Appa, come sit!"

The man grunted, and Jennie caught the change in demeanor when he turned around. He seemed a bit solemn, even a bit sad.

It's the first time you heard about your daughter's injury. Just like me, you were never too happy when she got hurt too.

For a different reason though, you thought it was sloppy and she could've easily avoided it if she focused more.

But I know that you worry the same as me and Umma do. You don't want her to get hurt because she's your daughter.

When the man sat on the bench beside his wife, he had a small smile when he looked at Jennie. His eyes flickered quickly to Jisoo, but soon rested back on the fountain.

If it wasn't Jennie talking, it was Mama Kim and the bench was too quiet.

A couple of side glances and Jisoo's mother looked like she was on the same boat as Jennie was: stuck between two stubborn quiet people.

Maybe I should liven things up and deliver good news.

Appa would be happy! Umma too.

The designer stood up and pulled Jisoo up, the Lieutenant didn't know what was happening but she learned it was better to follow Jennie than ask questions.

Often than not, Jennie did always take her on adventures.

"Umma, Appa. I have good news!"

"What is that news darling?" Papa Kim said, giving her all the attention he could give.

Jennie swung their clasped hands together, smiling in glee.

"I'm pregnant! And they're twins!" She said quite loudly.
