Jennie ran through the glass doors, finding the nearest receptionist asking her where a group of injured guards could be.
The receptionist blinked at her but the urgency coming from the beautiful designer made her work faster.
She directed her down the hall and to the right, but maybe Jennie was bad with directions or her emotions took over her because she had trouble finding the right room.
Jennie didn't know what she was looking for exactly, the E.R? A room? Or something else?
Was she even alive, what if Jisoo was one of the missing people?
The lack of answers made her anxious, she kept pulling on her fingers particularly roughing up the skin on the back of her hand.
She couldn't bear the thought of Jisoo passing away, it was everything she stood against. It was why she hated her policing job, the military job, and even this.
I love you, stay with me?
She felt so small and alone in such a big frantic setting, she didn't know who to turn to. She just kept running through the corridor till she saw the curtains being pulled back.
She recognized that small stature anywhere.
Her chest felt relieved, the fact that she was alive.
"Jisoo!" The designer yelled, tears welling into her eyes.
"Jisoo! Oh my god!" She yelled, running to her, the Lieutenant looked up at her with a frown, soon turned into a small smile.
Jennie hugged the Lieutenant, burying her face into her chest she heard the very heartbeat keeping the Lieutenant alive.
"I thought you fucking died!" She shouted all muffled, feeling Jisoo stroke her back.
Before Jisoo said anything she grabbed the Lieutenant by her cheeks, kissing her deeply, showing her how much her life hung by a thread.
The Lieutenant pulled away, looking the other way.
"It was a fucking blank." She hissed.
"A blank?" Jennie asked, reaching up to touch the bandage on the side of her head.
There was still blood dried, half ass patched, but she couldn't blame the nurses. There were worse injuries for other people.
"Why is the side of your head so bruised? Is it from the gunshot?" Jennie noticed how the bruising trailed down the side of her face a bit.
Jisoo nodded, recalling the moment she thought she was going to die. "They said it was bruising, there was burning and they said I also bursted my eardrum."
Jennie gasped, brushing Jisoo's hair back. She gulped. "You could've died." She whispered.
"But I didn't." Jisoo refuted.
"That bullet.."
"I don't know, okay?"
"Your eardrum.." The designer had gentle fingers, caressing her ear, she traced the dried blood along it.
"It'll heal." Jisoo reassured, patting her hand.
"You're not okay." Jennie whispered.
"I'll be fine."
"Jisoo I almost fucking lost you, that bullet could've been actual ammunition and it would've shot you in the head, so don't fucking tell me it'll be fine." Jennie hissed, tears already in her eyes.
"You know, I saw you just drop on the floor like a dead fly, unresponsive! I saw the blood on the wall, and I really thought you got shot on the head and that was it!" Jennie harshly whispered, shoving at Jisoo as hard as she could.
