Finding peace in Pandora was an easy task.
Being surrounded by the whimsical plants, beautiful and bright bioluminescent flora caused immense happiness to be found.
However, for Denahi, it wasn't that simple.
Her life had felt burdened.
The moment she turned nineteen, Denahi had to leave her childish life behind.
She was rushed into aging, and rushed into immediate maturity.
Denahi felt as she didn't get to live her life the way she had wanted to — live out her teenage years to her best ability before finally settling down with a mate, and a family of her own.
What she hadn't expected was to become the only parental figure for her brother.
It had only been a couple months after Denahi's parents death, she returned to Grace's school.
It was practically a forbidden, and unspoken, place now.
But, Denahi found it a place to escape.
"I'm sure they're watching us right now," That familiar voice made Denahi's ears twitch.
Denahi was quick to move, running behind a wall and hoping her azure figure wouldn't be found.
"This was our school. Now, it's just... storage," Denahi looked through the holes, peering at three Avatar's searching the room.
There was a reasonable meaning for Grace's school shutting down.
The Sky-people ruined the joy this place once brought to them.
For their selfish reasons.
Shots had been fired that day.
Many shots had killed little of their people, but enough to cause an impact.
A definite impact on Denahi and Mukata.
They had been hunting in the forest and heard the gunshots from a distance.
Understanding the directions, both children rushed towards the school.
There stood Denahi and Mukata's parents, Denahi covering Mukata's eyes and urging him to run after she saw the first bullet pierce their father's chest.
The blood that washed across Denahi's body still appeared in her mind, through surreal nightmares that left Denahi gasping for air.
"The kids were so bright. Eager to learn. They picked up English faster than I could teach it," Grace explained before Denahi heard the creaking footsteps of one coming closer to her.
She sucked in a breath, placing her back against the wall to hide her figure.
"So, we'll take a couple of these Ph monitors—" Grace's words faded out in Denahi's mind.
She watched Jake's fingers play with the holes cursing the walls — reminding her of what truly happened in this school.
That was until he stepped a little too far out.
Jake stumbled in his steps, steadying himself.
Denahi just stared at him.
Truthfully, Denahi hadn't seen an Avatar as beautiful as Jake's and it caused her breath to lodge within her throat.
Jake let out a disbelieved chuckle, thumb pointing towards Denahi.
"Um, guys—" But, Denahi wasn't going let Jake blow her cover, "Kehe!" She whispered in interjection.
He only looked at her with furrowed brows, "No?"
Denahi nodded eagerly. Jake smiled at this, noticing her beads had clicked together after the movement of her head.
She didn't say another word, taking this as her chance to run into the forest.
Taking another glance, Jake watched as Denahi's figure fell deeper into the greenery surrounding them.
He turned back to Grace and Norm, but the sight of Denahi wouldn't leave his brain.
She was truly pretty, in his eyes.
Denahi's hair was long, straight with a few braids to complete her hairstyle. Her eyes were large and doe-like as they pleaded Jake to keep quiet about her presence.
The sight of a Na'vi is something Jake hadn't viewed before but he couldn't help feel this... fascination towards Denahi.
