♯┆calm before the storm .ᐟ ━━━━━━━━━━
It was not hard to become intrigued when her people were hooting and hollering. Denahi climbed down the tree and towards the situation beforehand. She watched Na'vi moved to the side to create a pathway for something... or someone.
What could it be that caused such chaos? "My Eywa..." Denahi whispered to herself when she caught sight of him. The same Avatar that she had met within the school. Denahi moved to hide behind her people, not wanting the man to recognise her. But, nothing could stop Jake from looking around and finding the woman in such distress.
And it all seemed to be doing well until he lifted his hand and raised it to greet her. That skxawng. Denani revealed herself from behind her people and stared down at him. What was he doing? He looked like a lunatic waving his hand around in the air.
"You know him?" Tsu'tey asked when he made the connection that Jake's eyes were staring straight at Denahi. She shook her head, "No. I do not." And she didn't exactly lie. Because she didn't know him.
"This creature... Why do you bring him here?" Eytukan questioned his daughter. "I was going to kill him. But then there was a sign from Eywa!" A sign from their Goddess? How could Jake be so important to receive a sign from her? Denahi stepped forwards before Tsu'tey placed his arm on her stomach, keeping her at a safe distance.
"I have said no dreamwalkers will come here! His alien smell fills my nose!" Eytukan explained as Jake continued to ask what was happening because he didn't know their language— he didn't know what was going off. "My father is deciding whether to kill you," Neytiri said like it meant nothing.
"Your father? It's nice to meet you, sir," But, after all, he was stupid. And human. He stepped forward only to be dragged back.
"Stand back! I will look at this alien," Mo'at said as she walked around Jake.
"That is mother. She is Tsahìk. The one who interprets the will of Eywa," Neytiri explained. Denahi removed Tsu'tey's arm from off her and walked towards Neytiri. Neytiri greeted her with a smile before holding onto the small of her back.
Jake looked over at Denahi. Thankful to see someone familiar, and beautiful. "Who's Eywa?" He really didn't have a clue. Most of these demons who step onto Pandora have a manual on the world. A book that will tell them most things about Pandora. But him. He knew absolutely nothing. Zilch.
"What are you called?" Mo'at asked after she circled his figure. Jake cocked up head up, "Jake Sully." Mo'at picked out a wooden pin before stabbing it into Jake's chest and tasted the metallic blood on her tongue.
Jake Sully? He then looked back towards Denahi in immense fascination. How she tipped forward on her toes, excited to find out what Mo'at would have to say about him.
"Why do you come to us, Jake Sully?" Mo'at asked the man. His shoulders shrugged before answering her question, "I came to learn." He came to learn? Was that all? Denahi then remembered the gun he held in his hands when they first met, but then he was also alongside Grace.
"We have tried to teach other Sky-people. It is hard to fill a cup which is already full," Mo'at responded to Jake. Denahi leaned more on her toes as she spoke to Mo'at, "I do not think his cup has a drop in it. He does not even know who Eywa is."
Mo'at looked at Denahi, noticing how eager she seemed to be since Jake had arrived. Denahi then stood back, Neytiri glancing behind her in confusion. "Yeah. My cup is empty. Trust me. Just ask Dr. Augustine, I'm no scientist," Jake replied with a laugh. Neytiri felt Denahi tense after Grace was mentioned. She looked down at Denahi, a smile gracing her face in comfort.
"What are you?" Mo'at then asked him.
"I was a Marine. A— uh, warrior of the Jarhead clan!" Jake seemed confident with his response. "A warrior? I could kill him easily!" Tsu'tey then exclaimed. He watched as Denahi turned and hissed at him, "And it only took a teenager to nearly kill you." She reminded him of the times Mukata had almost ended his life. In multiple instances.
Tsu'tey looked down at her before cocking his head up in refusal. He didn't want to admit that what she had announced was the truth.
"This is the first warrior dreamwalker we have ever seen. We need to learn more about him," Eytukan told his People. Denahi hid behind Neytiri, attempting to cover the fact her lips had curled into a small smile.
Jake took the brave play of venturing out of his circle to inch towards Denahi which Neytiri gave him a hiss in return. "Denahi. You have taken an interest in this... demon. Why don't you teach him our ways?" Mo'at than asked, noticing the way Jake had barely looked at them but instead at her.
Like Jake's only concern was Denahi.
Denahi peered from behind Neytiri. She had too much on her plate already, now she had to teach this dreamwalker the way of Na'vi. But, she wasn't one to refuse her Tsahìk, "Of course, Mo'at. Whatever it takes."
Mo'at gave the girl a nod of approval to her response, "It is decided! Denahi will teach you our ways. Learn well, JakeSully, then we will see if your insanity can be cured."
