Blood splattered across her flesh.

The blood of those demons, those demons that killed her son, Grace, her parents, her brother.

Killing them, mercilessly.

So, how do you fight that?

With no mercy.

Denahi showed no care to who her arrows landed in.

As long as everyone surrounding her died.

Cries of anger and sadness escaped her throat as her arrows continued to pierce their skin.

All that flashed in her mind was the sight of her loved ones dying.

The blood that trickled from their wounds, how their breathing began to finish, hearing as his heart ended.

Her limbs were shaking with adrenaline, and anger.

Because nothing but anger consumed her.

Once Denahi's arrows had finished, she grabbed the knife that held onto her waist.

She raised her hand and landed the sharpened end into their bodies— anywhere that would end their lives, multiple times.

Denahi watched as Jake ran round the corner.

His face being attacked by a gun.

Denahi was quick on her feet as she grabbed an arrow and placed it in her bow.

She held the bow up, letting the arrow fly.

But, behind her.

Her ears were open to hear any movement, and the gun clicking behind her gave it away.

"It's Momma!" Malhua exclaimed.

"They're coming for you..." Kiri told Quaritch before he turned with a snarl.

Tuk watched the interaction and protected her sister by hissing back at Quaritch.

Spider jumped down another level.

Landing directly in front of Denahi.

He noticed all the life had drained for her.

Denahi had lost all sense of purpose.

But, Spider also saw the way her hand gripped onto her stomach.

Something with giving her sense— her son.

Her heavy breathing could be heard before she picked her arrows out of all the deceased bodies.

"Kiri!" Tuk exclaimed.

Denahi followed the sound of her worried child.

Quaritch held Kiri against his chest as his hand held a sharp knife towards her neck.
