It had been too long since Denahi had visit this area of her home. A part of her home that held too much power, a battlefield to the war between Demons and Na'vi. Bioluminescence began to light the darkness as the moon began to set. Colours of purple and blue reflected on where she stood. Denahi missed roaming around the forest without a single care. Without a single worry that some human could be lingering.

Denahi missed exploring. Hunting. Swimming with her children. All those things she used to be able to do insouciantly. A home which hadn't been taken over by the humans yet, but felt like they owed the place. Scaring the Na'vi to live normally.

"No. You stay here with the Ikran," Jake told Neteyam once he noticed his son getting ready to grab his bow. Neteyam's shoulders dropped at the orders, "But, Dad, I'm a warrior like you... I am supposed to fight..." Denahi reached her hand out to her son, pressing it on his shoulder. Her head twisted after he looked up at her, begging her to argue Jake's orders, "It is for your own safety, Neteyam. We do not want you hurt."

"I'm not gonna say it again," Jake told Neteyam. Denahi narrowed her eyes at him and the harsh tone he used. Their son was listening, he did not need to be so curt.

"I would tell you to stay but I doubt you'd listen..." Jake mentioned to Denahi, almost throwing her in the same situation as their eldest son. The two continued to walk throughout the forest, Jake pressing his finger to his lips— telling Denahi to be quiet.

She knew that. Make noise. They find you. It was getting darker at every lost second and the rain began to trickle from the clouds. A cold rain that got you drenched without realisation. Also a rain that made the ground more slick. Her nose breathed in the scent of her children within the air, glancing down towards the ground for their footsteps.

Denahi tapped Jake's arm, pointing in the direction of their children. He nodded before signing for them to go separate directions.

And when she knew she was close enough, her throat exclaimed an unusual sound. A noise that confirmed to her children that she was there, and not some random animal.

She pressed her back against a tree trunk, scanning around the corner for her children. Lo'ak nodded at Spider, confirming that the sound was his mom. Kiri being held by her queue, roughly forced to the ground. Tuk's little face more scared than ever whilst Malhua scratched at the flesh of the Avatar who bunched her braids into their palm.

Denahi held back her tears at the sound of Malhua whimpering in pain. How she couldn't wait to put an arrow in their head.

However, the rain was too much. The Avatar didn't move to a clear sight. Denahi hissed at herself. She used to do this with ease during hunting, and now? She was scared.

Scared her arrow would hit her children without a clear sight. "Come on..." Denahi whispered to herself before yanking in a sharp breath and holding her bow out again. And when the Avatar yanked Malhua's hair, her arrow was set free, "Lo'ak!"

Her son used this as their chance to be free. Their teeth sunk into the Avatar's and they began to run— Denahi letting out a sigh of relief beside the gunfire surrounding her.

Although the broken bark began to hit her flesh, she couldn't let it affect her. And when the gunfire paused, she took it as her chance to run free as well. Her legs were quick, attempting to dodge every bullet. "Kiri! Kiri!" The sight of her daughter kneeling over a tree sent nausea into her stomach, "We have to keep running! Come! Come!"

Kiri shook her head, "Spider is down there!" Denahi hissed in frustration. She couldn't leave Spider down there. Her feet began to climb down the tree, but the Avatar's had managed to get to Spider first. "Go! Go!" Spider shouted at Denahi, making her run in the opposite direction of the scene.

Her head turned to view Spider, recognising the Avatar holding onto him. Quaritch?

And with the clear view of him, Denahi continued to run, ignoring the pain from her scratches and cuts. That was until she bumped into something hard. "No, no!" She exclaimed when feeling two palms wrap around her waist. "It's me! Baby, it's me," Denahi stopped struggling against the hard body and looked up to find Jake.

Her whole figure fell limp into his arms. "Momma!" Malhua shouted before Neteyam let her down from out his arms. Malhua stumbled as she ran to Denahi, wrapping her small arms around her leg.

Denahi soon fell to the ground, taking her little daughter into her arms. This was a different type of relief. Knowing that her children were all safe. All of them standing before her. She stood from the ground and dragged Neteyam and Lo'ak into her grip, "Do not ever do this again..."
