♯┆calm before the storm .ᐟ ━━━━━━━━━━
Their sweet song could be heard. A prayer to Eywa they hoped she would answer. Calming the Na'vi wanting to make their home the way it had been before. Before destruction, before the demons had reached Hometree before realisation. But all calmness demolished when a large shadow filled The Tree of Souls ground, terror broke out. Toruk. One of the things in the Pandoran forest you had to be terrified about.
Mukata lunged in front of Denahi to protect her from the flying animal. But, when she peered her eyes over the top of his back, noticing whojumped off Toruk. Her Jake.
He walked through the crowd. Them all scared to touch him. Worshipping him. But, Jake could only keep his eyes on her. Denahi revealed herself from behind Mukata, Jake's sight blinding for a second once seeing that she was fine. She wasn't harmed. When he reached her, Denahi didn't hesitate to jump onto his body. Her arms tangled around his neck and his laced around her waist, "I never want to loose you again..."
He pressed a gentle kiss to her neck, "You never will." Denahi pulled back from his, her hand falling to his defined jaw, "You are Toruk Makto." It had only been done five times since the First Song. Now six. Jake nodded his head before looking back at the great banshee before all their eyes. Jake looked back at the great leonopteryx before turning to look at Tsu'tey, "Tsu'tey, son of Areyo, I stand before you to serve the Omatikaya people. You are Olo'eyktan and you are a great warrior. I can't do this without you."
Tsu'tey now realised who he was facing. What he meant to the clan. Something that had been blind in the months. "Toruk Makto. I will fly with you," He mentioned before pressing his hand onto Jake's shoulder. That was when Jake looked down to the ground and cleared his throat, "My friend is dying. Grace is dying." Denahi looked over at Mukata in shock, watching as her brothers face crumbled into sadness. "I beg the help of Eywa..." Jake told them all.
And who are they to refuse? Jake carried Grace's injured body through the Na'vi's. Grace smiled as she looked at The Tree of Souls, a place she could never get near, "I need to take some samples." Jake chuckled, always the scientists. Always.
Jake placed Grace on the ground, next to her Avatar as the veins began connecting.
"The Great Mother may choose to save all that she is, in this body," Mo'at explained.
Jake nodded, "Is it possible?"
"She must pass through the eye of Eywa, and return. But, Jake Sully, she is very weak," Mo'at responded, Denahi moving her hand to Jake's lower back.
"Hang on, Grace. They're gonna fix you up," Jake said before holding onto Grace.
They all began to move more circular, arms holding out.
Mo'at exclaims, "Hear us please, All Mother. Eywa help her! Take this spirit into you.. and breathe her back to us. Let her walk among us as one of The People!"
Denahi watched Jake move.
He held onto Jake's hand after she reached out for him.
"Grace?" He asked.
"I'm with her, Jake. She's real..." Grace said.
Denahi stood from her place and moved next to Jake, holding onto her hand that Jake held.
"Grace? Grace, please. Grace!" He repeated, trying to help her come back to them.
He asked what was happening, he was so confused.
Denahi slumped down as she noticied Grace's Avatar hadn't moved— it didn't work.
"Her wounds were too great. It was not enough time, she is with Eywa now," Mo'at explained.
Denahi noticed Jake crunch, almost like he was about to cry.
Her hand held onto his shoulder before slumping her side into his, giving him a meaningful hug.
He tapped her waist before standing, holding her hand so she would stand with him.
"With your permission, I will speak now. You would honor me by translating," Jake spoke to Tsu'tey, him nodding in agreement.
"The Sky-people have sent us a message, that they can take whatever they want and no one can stop them.. Well, we will send them a message," Jake looked at them all.
Denahi smiled proudly.
This was who she fell in love with.
"You ride out as fast as the wind can carry you. You tell the other clans to come, tell them Toruk Makto calls to them! And you fly now, with me!" Jake exclaimed.
Denahi nodded in agreement.
Mukata stood from his seat to let out a war cry.
"My brothers, sisters! And we will show the Sky-people that they cannot take whatever they want. And that this, this is our land!" Jake finished.
