It had taken some time to allow Grace back into Home Tree.
After what had happened at the school, time was needed in order to trust her again.
But, Denahi stopped trusting her.
She was one of little Sky-people she trusted.
"Sa'nok!" Denahi's people exclaimed as they began to run to her, watching as Grace petted their hair and telling them how they've grown.
Mukata slowly inched behind Denahi as they walked towards Grace.
"Sa'nok..." Denahi whispered before Grace's face dropped at the word.
Her eyebrows knitted together before she immediately pulled Mukata and Denahi into a tight, much needed hug.
Grace knew how much losing their parents affected them.
And, she watched it happen.
"Oh.. how beautiful you have both come," Grace said as she stroked their cheeks.
Mukata icked slightly before pulling away, "I am not a child anymore."
He wasn't even a child back then.
Denahi and Grace laughed at his typical teenage reaction.
"We have missed you," Denahi said before taking Mukata's arm into her palm, "Dearly."
Mukata nodded his head before Grace said it was okay for him to spend time with his friends, friends that seemed to be rushing him.
"I see you have made.. friends with Jake," Grace mentioned as she pointed towards Jake.
Denahi turned around to see him staring at them, quickly twisting his head once Denahi looked back at him.
She chuckled, "I believe so."
Grace smiled at that.
She knew Denahi was doing something good for Jake, especially since Quaritch has gotten him under his wing.
She was only hoping Denahi would change his mind on whatever they had planned.
"He is nice. A little stupid at times, but nice," Denahi said before Grace nodded her head and laughed.
Human Jake was the same.
Such an idiot at times, and always quick with his comebacks.
She saw the way Denahi watched him.
That look.
That look would get them in trouble.
The Na'vi wouldn't allow their mating, and it would make it harder on Jake when he has to return to conscious— his human body.
Suddenly, Jake began to make his way towards the two of them.
"Morning," Denahi introduced the conversation.
"Mornin'," Jake returned.
Grace raised an eyebrow after Denahi had stumbled on one foot to be closer to Jake.
It was like watching two, young teenagers falling in love— or already in love.
"I don't have anything planned for us today. I, I need to help Kata carve bows," Denahi smiled at him before Jake nodded at the words.
"Well, I can stay with you," Jake said, referring to keeping Denahi company.
She nodded, "I'd like that.. Grace, do you wanna come with?"
Grace shook her head before noticing Neytiri and Tsu'tey walking across the centre.
"No, you two go have fun," Grace said before ushering the two away, walking towards Neytiri and Tsu'tey.
Denahi looked up at Jake, who was also confused.
"Shall we?" Jake asked before allowing Denahi to walk in front.
She nodded before doing so, feeling Jake's eyes burn into her as she walked.
Or, was it because her tail swiped against his leg?
