♯┆calm before the storm .ᐟ ━━━━━━━━━━
Mukata was now laid at rest. He looked peaceful. Handsome. Her hand reached out to touch his cold flesh one last time. The woodsprite landed in her palm before placing it on Mukata's shoulder, "This is not forever, Kata. We will meet again."
Jake watched in so much guilt. And pain. He and Mukata didn't have the best relationship in the beginning, but it soon grew. A friendship he will cherish forever. Jake put a purple flower on Mukata, pressing a gentle touch to his shoulder, "Goodbye, brother."
The woodsprite flew and landed on Mukata. That was when Denahi could no longer hold back her tears as their people said goodbye.
She was weak. Exhausted. Her back still in immense pain from hitting that tree.
Jake picked her up and held her against his chest, carrying Denahi to their shared hut. He was here to stay forever. He had no use for human body when this body had his whole life ahead of him. "It's gonna be okay, baby," Jake soothed her, kissing her hair and rubbing her back comfortably, "It'll be okay."
Denahi nodded her head. Mukata would not want her to be like this. He fought for his home, saved his sister. "He would have been a great uncle," She whispered.
That was when Jake paused all actions. Uncle? His fingers pressed beneath her chin and pulled her face to meet his. "What'cha mean by that, baby?" He asked.
He pulled them up, giving Denahi more guidance because of her back. "I am with child, Jake. Our child," She told him. His knees buckled before he fell down to them.
Jake pressed his head against her stomach before giving it a gentle kiss, "You're pregnant?" Denahi frantically nodded her head to reply to his question. He stood up and lifted her into the air, a squeal of excitement leaving Denahi's mouth.
"I am sorry I did not tell you sooner," She mentioned when he placed her down onto the ground again. Jake's eyebrows knitted together, "How long have you known?"
Turns out, Na'vi pregnancies are much different to human ones. She had known when she went to get her back checked by Mo'at after the war. "Does that mean I can start calling you mama?" He asked.
Denahi sighed at the pet name. Baby was almost too much for her to handle. "I will knot your tail," She warned him.
Jake's hands threw up in the air, "Whatever you say, mama." Denahi turned and playfully hissed at him. And, he couldn't help chuckle to himself. He was definitely going to start calling her mama.
