♯┆calm before the storm .ᐟ ━━━━━━━━━━
The night had begun. Denahi rode out on Riti. Disguising herself as Mangkwan for access into the RDA compound. The Mangkwan bow wrapped around her chest as her hands held a gun. Extra protection. Forgiveness would be given. Walking through the compound sent chills down her spine. Mangkwan bounced around with a skull as the RDA stood with their weapons.
Pretending that they hadn't captured a man whom had a family and wife. A man that hadn't hurt them. Who chose a life that they didn't deserve. "Tam tam, Riti," Denahi whispered to Riti, stroking her snout.
There was one woman Denahi knew she had to get to. As much as it scared her— Varang was a cause to her problem and one that must be ended. "What's up, cutie?" A random RDA man called out to her.
Denahi looked over at him, twisting her head and remembered Jake had once told her about cat-calling on Earth. How he would fight every man that dared to cat-call women. She hissed at the man, sparing him, deciding that there was more important missions.
And when Denahi found Varang's marui, she smiled proudly to herself before entering. Complete silence. The gun in her hand pressed against Varang's temple, her other hand gripping onto her kuru, "Make a sound and I will not hesitate to pull this trigger. Where is my husband?"
But, Varang showed no fear. "The wife. How is your shoulder?" Varang dared to question about the wound she had caused.
Varang that jumped up, but Denahi had been quicker. She grabbed her knife from the pouch, holding it against Varang's kuru. The gun secured against her waist strap. "I am not afraid to cut the kuru," Denahi mentioned before tightening her kuru against the sharp edge of her knife.
Varang looked down at the kuru, looking back up at Denahi's face. The woman showed no fear compared to what her brain screamed. Showing that she was afraid, scared of being hurt again, was invaluable in this moment. "Pass the camp! A cage for an animal!" Varang shouted out to Denahi.
"You will take me to him," Denahi said, Varang then jumped out of her arms when the shout of Quaritch could be heard.
Varang grabbed her curved knives, threatening Denahi with them. But, she had no time to waste. She could fight, but is there a chance that she would win?
Denahi hissed at Varang, running from the marui and calling out to Riti. "I want her heart!" Varang exclaimed, Denahi mounting Riti and grabbing the gun on her waist. Bullets flew past her, landing into a few of the Mangkwan people. Quaritch stood back, looking at the bullet wounds— realising that Denahi had touched the metal that poisoned the Na'vi's heart to save her husband.
That she would do anything to save him.
She flew around the compound, landing the bullets into a few of the compounds equipment gas, lighting them on fire. The explosion was loud and orange.
Something the Mangkwan would love, but also hate. Denahi then found the cage encasing her husband. "Ma'Jake!" Denahi called out to him before scraping the top of the glass with Riti's sharp nails.
Jake looked out at his woman flying atop of the compound, Riti dodging the bullets from the RDA helicopters. Denahi grabbed the bow around her chest, flying her arrow into one of their propellers.
The helicopter crashed down to the ground creating a chain reaction of explosions. Denahi yipped before noticing that Varang's nightwraith chased her down.
"Down, Riti!" Denahi called out to Riti, ducking beneath tight passages that Varang wouldn't be able to fit through.
She landed beneath ground, whispering to Riti to be calm. "Still, Riti, still..." Denahi whispered as she stroked the Ikran, attempting to keep her silent and soothed. When the coast was clear, Denahi flew Riti back into the air once again.
Her sight caught onto the RDA helicopter threatening Spider and Jake.
A hiss escaped her before her arrow landed within their propellers, watching as the helicopter smashed into the ground. Denahi landed Riti in front of Spider and Jake.
Jake looked at her wearing Mangkwan clothing and paint, as well as Riti. Her heart beating as fast as it could. He couldn't resist the smile growing on his face. Knowing Denahi was safe, that she was here for him.
Until he saw the gun strapped to her waist. Something she hadn't touched before. Something Denahi had refused to use no matter the situation. Until, now. All to bring him back home to her and the children.
He stood to his feet and ran towards her, "Baby, I don't know whether to kiss you or yell at you right now." Denahi breathed once again before clicking her head to Riti.
"On her. Now!" She shouted to him, Jake didn't hesitate before mounting Riti.
The three of them flying from the RDA with too much speed for them to handle.
