CHAPTER SEVENTY EIGHT !
☆
By the time estella and jack had dropped off the medication at the hilltop for prince and sholanda, it was the middle of the day when they got back to alexandria. they were super appreciative of the stuff they got them, and thankfully they got there in time. sholanda was able to be treated, and so was prince. it felt good to know that estella and jack had the ability to help them. estella had greeted everyone, and was currently sat by the lake next to judith who had a bunch of toys next to her, playing. the war was almost over by the sounds of it, estella just hoped she was right. she hoped that it would all go back to normal soon enough, and they'd all be safe again. they could all live in peace again and hopefully, with a bit of luck, estella would stop having nightmares about glenn and abraham when negan was dead, and she knew that he didn't have the ability to hurt anybody else. that's when she'd get her closure. that's when glenn and abraham would get justice.
estella turned around when she heard michonne talking when she walked away. that's when she saw daryl. he wasn't there when she got back, so she didn't get to greet him. she gasped, quickly running over to him and hugging him. he lifted her up once he saw who it was with a bright smile on his face.
"hey, how was the run?" he asked her.
"it was okay. we got everything we needed, but these guys locked me in an attic full of walkers. i managed to get out, though." she said, making daryl raise his eyebrows.
"guys? what guys?" he asked.
"don't worry, it was like three hours from here, miles and miles away." estella shrugged, wiggling out of his grip. "is it over?"
"not yet, but it should be soon. then, everythin' is gonna be okay. we're gonna be livin' okay again." he said, she smiled.
"i hope so. i'm gonna go back to judith, i promised her i'd play with her horses with her. louise and ruby should be by to join any minute." estella said, daryl nodded.
"all right. i'm gonna go find liv, she wanted me to teach her how to use a crossbow." he said back.
"okay. bye, dada." she smiled, before running back over to judith. "okay, jude. which horse do you want to be?"
"this one." judith said in her cute little toddler voice, holding up a pink horse with a rainbow on it's back.
"wow, that's a pretty one. which one do you want me to be?" she asked, looking down at the rest of the plastic horses.
"um... blue." judith said, handing her a blue horse with a cloud on it's back. estella smiled appreciatively, taking it.
soon enough, carl came and took judith. estella didn't know what to do with herself, or how to keep herself busy, so she decided to go into her room and draw for a little while. she hadn't been able to do that in a minute. she added some more flowers to the crowded pages for the walkers she had killed. there was now a total of one hundred and sixty one flowers in there.
