"This is a terrible idea." Jerry sighed. The eldest triplet glared at his brother. "I thought you were the one who said we couldn't bring him along." Jayden pointed out. He started to untie the ropes around Eric's legs. His arms were released soon after. His mind told him to fight back. This was his chance. His body, on the other hand, protested against these thoughts. He could barely stand. "Yeah, and you said we shouldn't let him go." His brother says. "You're the smart one," Jayden replied. "Oh, that's a solid argument," Jerry complained. His brother grabbed his shoulders and shook him. "Listen, Dude," he started, "You should be glad I'm listening to you. This is the best thing to do now. You were right, we're going to let him go. What's the worst that could happen?" Jayden rambled.

Ian stood by the wall. He covered his face with his hand. "Are they always like this?" He asks. Liz shrugged in response as Andrew nodded. "Seriously, how did you three get locked away for murder?" Ian sighed. "They're not that bad," Liz replied. Ian looks at her. "They are slightly chaotic." She added. "They're a mess. No wonder Bill never included them." Ian replied. Jack and Megan came down the stairs quietly. "You good?" Andrew asks him. Jack nodded slowly while keeping his head low. Megan turns her head toward the other two boys. They were shoving her exhausted father around as if he was a toy needing to be shared by toddlers. She pointed at them. "What are they doing?" She asked. "Behaving like children," Andrew answered. Megan turns to her cousin. "They're fighting over my dad? Wow, that's a sentence I never thought I would say." She guessed. Ian started to walk away. "Sort of," Andrew started, "We have to leave. Jade is gone. The cops took her. They will come back." He explained. Jack lifted his head. "What? Why did they take her? How did you let that happen?" He asked him. "Okay, I opened the door when I shouldn't have. But look at them. They're acting like toddlers." Andrew replied. Everyone started to argue with one another. Their voices became louder and louder.

Their arguments were cut short by a loud slam of the front door. "Did he just leave?" Jack questioned. "No, I didn't," Ian spoke up. He joined the others again. He let out a sigh and looked at the group. Louis and Casper stepped into sight from behind him. The triplet's eyes lit up when they spotted their uncle. "Look who came, more chaos," Ian said. Even after what happened, the triplets still walked up to their uncle and embraced him. "And who's that?" Megan asked, pointing at Casper. "That's the guy we abandoned," Ian said awkwardly. Casper turns to him. "It's all right. I get it." He tells him. "That's Casper?" Andrew mumbled. Cas turns to the rest of the group. "Where is she?" He asked. "She was taken by the cops. He opened the door." Ian answered and pointed at Andrew. He then looked at Louis. "How do you put up with these kids?' He gritted between his teeth. Louis put his hand on the man's shoulder. "They're absolute terror. I know." He answered, "Where is she?" He repeated. "Probably at the station. I'm not sure. I've sent some people out to find her, but they haven't responded yet. We have to lay low." Ian answered. "Yeah, we do," Louis said.

Ian furrowed his eyebrows sensing a strange tone in his voice. "He's gone insane." He whispered. "They know about Bill. Jade told them." Ian assured him. The triplets looked at their uncle. "Oh," Louis said. He turned to Casper briefly. "He wanted to shoot us," Cas said. Their eyes widened. "Something snapped in him, Man. We need to gather around everyone." Louis tells him. Ian runs his hand through his hair. "We have a lot on our to-do list." He sighed. "But, wait a minute, you put people on this without telling us?" Jayden asked Ian. The man looked at the boy. "Yeah, while you three were worrying about your girlfriends, I asked my men to look for your sister. Who, by the way, are also her men." Ian explained, "So, my apologies for not interrupting your conversation about sweet cheeks over there." He added and pointed at Liz. She blushed bright red and hides a little behind Andrew. He earned a glare from Jerry. "Oh, come on. They said worse things." Ian said and nudged his brothers.

Her eyes were almost too heavy to open. A shooting pain went up and down her entire body. Mainly, her head hurt. When she tried to lift her hand she couldn't. She glanced down to see her hands tied to the bed with handcuffs. She glanced up to see the two officers from before standing outside the room. They were speaking to the doctor. She couldn't read their faces. She scanned the room. She spotted a security guard sitting in a chair. He was reading a magazine. He was so focused he didn't even notice her waking up. "Why am I in a hospital?" She spoke up. Her voice sounded raspy and soar. The security guard jumped up in surprise. He looks at her, immediately putting down the magazine. He also placed his hand on his weapon in its holster. "Don't move a muscle," he ordered. He slowly made his way over to the door. He kept his eyes on her as he walked. She sighed and leaned back into her pillow. The guard opened the door and told the officers she was awake. Within seconds the two officers and doctor were standing right in front of her. Lucas was keeping his distance from her. "Miss Salvini," The doctor started.

Jade looks at him. "Why am I here?" She asked him. "You simply fainted, Miss Salvini." He answered. He had a thick British accent. He appeared calm like he had no bad news for her. The look in his eyes betrayed him. It wasn't that simple. "Miss Salvini," He started. "Jade," She corrected him. It was a lot easier to say that. And for some reason, it felt more personal. "Jade, alright then. I don't know how to tell you this. Uh, we did some tests on you while you were out. You've been unconscious for a few hours now. And the results aren't great." He tells her. "What is it? Low blood sugar? Is something wrong in my brain? My nervous system?" She summed up everything she remembered from her biology classes. The man gulped and took another peek at his clipboard. "Jade, you have something in your blood. Something unknown to us. It's something we cannot treat. It's a rare disease." He informs her. "Not many people have it." Jade filled in. Her whole guard dropped. Her heart sank. "There has been a record of your mother. Who had the same disease? Have you ever been tested for this?" The doctor asked her. She shakes her head silently. She had nothing to say.

Her brothers had been tested. She wasn't. They assumed that if the triplets didn't have it, she wouldn't have it either. She was going to die. Just like her mom. She wasn't going to suck the life out of Megan as her father did to Parker. The doctor noticed she wasn't okay. He walked up to her and placed his hand on her shoulder. "I'll give you some time. Is there any family we can call for you?" He questioned. He was trying to soothe her. But it wasn't working. Jade shakes her head. "No." She answered. "What about your uncle?" Hayden cut in. Jade looks up at him. She shakes her head again. "This is serious. This isn't part of the investigation anymore, Jade. You're going to need someone here by your side." Hayden assured her. But she just shakes her head. An idea popped up in her head. There was someone else she could call. "Maybe there is someone." She answered. "Call them. And you two will release her from these restraints. They're not necessary. You can keep your guards here, but she's not a prisoner. You have no rights." The doctor tells them. Jade thanked the man quietly. Hayden walked over to her and uncuffed her slowly. He then handed her his phone. "Two minutes." He said. She nodded and dialed the number.
