Chapter 58

Nasa garden na kami at hinihintay na ang mga magulang niya. We could easily spot their vehicle from here.

"Nanay!" Napabaling ako kay Thiago na nakaupo sa tabi ko.

"Yes, baby?"

"Will Lolo and Lola play with us? They are old right?" He curiously asked.

I ruffled his hair and looked at Sandro besides me.

Si Sandro na ang sumagot. "Well, they still can. Lolo and Lola are still strong.

"Really?" Namilog ang mga mata niya. "Then I want to go camping with them, or we could go swimming too. Is it fine, Tatay?"

"Ako rin, po Tatay!" Yesh blurted out.

Tumawa ako sa sagot niya. Thiago is a little bit enthusiastic about meeting his grandparents and he is already planning their activities together.

"Well, we could, as long as we planned it beforehand. How about that?"

The twins excitedly nodded their head at hindi ko na ring mapigilang mapangiti.

We continued talking about their future activities when we spotted a car near the gate. Automatically, my heart suddenly starts beating fast and hard.

"They are here." Sandro murmured and walked into the gate.

Lumapit naman kaagad ang mga bata sa akin.

"Sina Lolo na po yung nasa car?" Yesh asked curiously.

Tumango ako at kaagad naman na nagningning ang kanilang mga mata. Tumayo na rin kami habang hawak-hawak ko ang mga bata sa magkabilaan kong mga kamay.

They both looked so excited while I looked so anxious.

Sandro opened the gate widely at tuluyan ng pumasok ang sasakyan nila sa loob. Napahigpit ang kapit ko sa mga bata.

Sandro joined us and carried Yesh in his arms, while he snaked his other hand in my waist. He smiled at me warmly, pinapagaan ang kalooban ko.

"I am here. You don't have to be nervous."

Bumukas ang pintuan ng sasakyan at kaagad kong nasilayan ang mag asawa.

"Sandro!" Sandro's mother called him as she smiled warmly at us.

I only once saw his family's picture and seeing them personally made me take my breath away. They still looked so gorgeous despite their ages. Her mother casually sporting her vintage flower dress with her belt on, with her expensive looking bag, and her mid length hair in a clean ponytail, while his father dressed with his maong pants and black long sleeves.

Lumapit sa amin ang Mama niya habang nahuli naman ang kanyang asawa.  She looked so gentle and all smiley, but his husband was almost the complete opposite. Now I know where Sandro got his snobbish face.

She looked at me warmly with a hint of tears in her eyes. Sandro, then kissed her forehead as she looked at me.

"Ma, this is Sevie, the mother of my children and my love...and these are our twins." Sandro introduced while he looked at us by his side.

Nalipat ang tingin niya sa kambal na nahihiya na ngayon. Yesh was holding his father's neck tightly as Thiago hid in my back.

Then she transferred her eyes to me again. "Finally, Iha. It is nice meeting you."

I was shocked when she hugged me tightly. Bumitaw siya at hinawakan ang dalawa kong kamay.

"I've been wanting to meet you for a long time." She pressed both of my hands tightly on her hold. The way she looked at me makes me feel like she met me before, and that we met after a long time. The familiarity and warmth in her eyes are there.
