This time, Eda woke up to an empty bed and open door, but she could tell it was late in the morning, so she wasn't surprised Serkan already got up. She liked to sleep long, and he didn't look like a type who would stay in bed till noon.

She went to the bathroom and changed into a red floral dress. Eda didn't remember this one, it must have been something new, but it was a very nice summer dress, exactly her style. She looked at the brand and frowned. She definitely couldn't afford this brand. All she could do was window shopping.

Eda knew Serkan was wealthy, and this house must be worth a lot. More than she could ever earn in her life, but she didn't believe she would indulge in his money, even if she would be married to him. Eda never believed in overspending. Even if she would earn a lot on her own, it wouldn't change. She would be traveling from her salary, but definitely no to throwing money on clothes.

Eda turned to closet to go through the clothes. Serkan's side was full of expensive, well-cut suits, elegant jackets, and shirts, exactly like his style, but her side was true to her style. Most of the clothes were her old ones and the new pieces weren't expensive, slightly above her current price range, but reasonable.

Eda found her engagement dress and checked the brand. Again she could afford it easily, and it was a very nice dress even if it was high street. The only other two expensive dresses were an off-shoulder red one, very sexy, and one shoulder blue one that was still in a box with a bow. So it was a gift. From Serkan? Did he buy her these dresses? If so, Eda was pleasantly surprised because dresses suited her style. She would thirst over them through the window but never buy them. If he gifted them to her, it was a very sweet gesture.

Eda went through other drawers, avoiding the lingerie, where she knew already what to expect. She didn't find a lot of jewelry, mainly her old pieces. She couldn't find the engagement ring from the picture, but future Eda probably had it on her finger right now and, as current Eda assumed, she was out of town with future Serkan, otherwise, they probably would meet.

Eda went through the jewelry case and found four new boxes. Two must belong to Serkan's family as they looked very expensive, and even if they were very beautiful, she would never wear them daily. The first one was a ring with a huge sapphire surrounded by diamonds. She saw it in the picture from the wedding. The second was a necklace with yellow stone from engagement. Yes, they were definitely from Serkan's family, so they accepted her as his bride? How it was possible? Eda couldn't even imagine herself fitting in those rich circles.

Eda looked at the other piece and smiled. It was her mother's diamond necklace, Eda knew she would get it on her wedding day, and future Eda had it. That could only mean her aunt Ayfer accepted her marriage with Serkan. Quite interesting, given the shared hatred they both had toward Serkan Bolat due to the revoked scholarship. Sometimes she thought that her aunt hated him even more than Eda herself. What did he do to redeem himself in Ayfer's unforgiving eyes?

Eda opened the last jewelry box and gasped. It was a wish bracelet, very similar to one she owned once but lost and regretted it to this day because it was a gift from her mother. Did she tell Serkan this story, and he gifted her one? If so, it was very romantic. Eda smiled to herself, running her finger through charms. It definitely was a gift from him as it had the letters E and S and also a star, a heart, and a flower. Maybe he wasn't such a boor and could even make a romantic gesture? Or rather, that another version from the alternative timeline was romantic, and Eda here got a very stubborn and difficult speciman, even if hers was very smart and easy to talk to.

The door to the dressing room closed and opened again, making Eda jump. She pressed her hand to her chest from this little scare. She exhaled deeply and smiled. She should be getting used to these tricks the house was playing on them. It only meant that Eda should leave the room and go downstairs to Serkan. Right on cue, the music started to play, and Eda was sure Serkan had nothing to do with it. She listened to the lyrics, going slowly through the corridor.
