Eda didn't see Serkan for the rest of the week. He was just sending her dry emails and scans with new calculations and notes, and she was sending him hers. To her relief, it looked like she at least managed to save the papers, as Serkan didn't complain about that. But she was afraid that after what he saw they were done for good. He was as hot-headed as her, and if she would see anything similar, she would be done with him too, just after murdering him and burying his body. She wouldn't be listening to any explanation either, so she knew until he would cool down, it was no use to talk with him.

Eda needed to deal with Deniz so that situation wouldn't repeat ever again. They weren't even good friends. They just attended the same English course at the beginning of their studies. After which he ditched his degree, and she never saw him again. They didn't even hit it off back then, but he always clung to her pretending to be closer to her than he was, and scared away a couple of her possible date options by his clingy behavior. Eda never really cared before, she was just annoyed and told him to back off, but what he did now in front of Serkan's eyes, appearing out of the blue, crossed the line.

Eda didn't want to see Deniz's face again in her life, so she asked Fifi to get his phone number and together with Ceren wrote to him the message not to come close to her ever or she will seek legal action. Eda also mentioned that if she'd told about this situation to her father, Deniz might not be found alive as her dad was the head of the police criminal investigation department. A little thread never hurt.

On Monday morning, Eda entered the hall on the ground floor and halted in surprise at the sight of Serkan. He looked so hot today that she had trouble not drooling openly over him. He didn't have his usual shirt buttoned up to his neck with a tie and jumper over it. This time there was no preppy jumper or tie. His light blue shirt had two buttons opened so she could have a good view at his neck, which was her soft spot, and a peek of his sculpted chest. The shirt was tight on him, and he rolled the sleeves up to his elbow. He just smiled at a woman approaching him, and Eda saw red. He used to smile only at her.

Eda didn't leave the hall, just moved to the side and observed Serkan's conversation with the other academic teacher she was never fond of. She always found dr. Avici dull and unintelligent.

"This bitch will hang herself on his neck in a second." Eda grumbled, squinting her eyes at Serkan. The woman just laughed at something he said and put her hand on his arm.

"Touch him again, and I will cut your hands." Eda murmured.

"Eda, are you jealous?"

Eda jumped, looked around, and saw her friends standing behind her. "What? No."

"You are murdering her with your gaze. Why is he even talking with that wood?" Fifi asked, squinting her eyes too.

"Apparently, they were batchmates." Eda spat through her teeth. Dr. Avici was talking so loud that she could hear everything she said in her high pitch-annoying voice.

"I thought he can't stand her and think she's stupid." Ceren remarked, standing on the other side of Eda. "Isn't he trying to make you jealous?"

"How do you know he can't stand her?"

"Engin told me."

Eda pursed her lips, looking at Serkan. "Oyle mi, Dr. Bolat? Oyle? Ceren, give me your makeup bag." She turned to her friend and extended her hand.

"Why?"

"You will see. Keep the place in the middle of the first row for me. Two can play this game." Eda smiled devilishly and turned to the bathroom.

When Eda went to the classroom, everybody was already there, and the door was closed. She opened it with a little bang to make her presence known and strolled slowly to her chair under all her classmates and Serkan's watchful gaze. She smirked to herself, adjusting her hair, and sat on her side in front of Serkan's desk where he usually leaned on giving his lecture. She crossed her long legs, feeling his eyes on them, and opened the button of her shirt.
