In the late morning Eda left her hotel room near the beach where finals were about to take place. After arriving to Mundaka late in the night, she dragged herself half asleep to her room and woke up only after her third alarm went on.

Eda went to register for the competition. As it was a qualification time and she didn't need to participate in it, she had half of a day free. She glanced at the other list and saw that Serkan already registered. She wondered where he could be and if he was avoiding her again as when they were in Antalya.

Eda went to look for her coach, who was supposed to arrive today, when she stood face to face with one person she was willing to hit with her board in the head and bury in the sand forever.

"Oh, Eda, and you still here." The blonde girl smirked at her.

Eda rolled her eyes at the mean voice of her arch-nemesis and biggest rival. She pulled her lips in a fake smile and held her chin proudly up.

"Yes, Sophia, and where else should I be?"

Sophia looked at her with a similarly fake sweet smile. "Still alone, and every man ran from you? It will be only you and your hoard of cats to the end of your days. You have Serkan Bolat on your beach and can't even make him warm your bed?"

Eda's blood boiled in her veins. She crossed her arms on her chest, cocking her brows. "How could you know? Maybe he warms my bed and something else too?"

"Did you make him clean your pool? I highly doubt it. With the line of girls waiting for him, he probably made you one-off when he was bored and drunk too much beer."

Eda fisted her hands in fury at Sophia's condescending tone. She hated that girl and was ready to strangle her right there no matter the consequences.

"Everybody knows you can't keep a man."

"Oh, really?" Eda squinted her eyes at the blonde's mocking grimace. "Maybe I'm getting married to him? He just proposed."

"Yeah, you're lying through your teeth. Wait when everybody will hear how big a liar you are."

Eda saw red. She glanced over Sophia's shoulder and spotted Serkan going through the beach in the direction of the bar. She smirked and looked back her. "Do you want to see?"

Eda ran to Serkan, grabbed his hand, and started to drag him behind her. She used the occasion that her action complicity surprised him, and he didn't have time to take his hand away.

"I did something stupid, and you have to help me, or I will drown myself in the sea from embarrassment." She said in a pleading voice before he even opened his mouth.

"What? What did you do?"

"Do you remember Sophia?"

"That one who is always telling you, you are the old spinster?" Serkan raised his brows, still dragged by Eda. "But she's older than you, she's older than me."

"Exactly, I told her we are getting married. Play along, please."

"You did what?! Are you crazy?!" Serkan stopped, looking at Eda incredulously.

"Please, Serkan." Eda turned to face him and made a sad pout. "She won't let me live. She will tell everybody."

"You owe me a big one."

At his words, Eda immediately started to pull him by hand again. "I can wax your board for the year."

"Two years." Serkan said under his breath when they stopped in front of surprised Sophia. Eda hugged Serkan by his waist and put her head on his chest.
