A/N:  Surprise, I'm back with a new short story. I know I said I'm putting them on hold until I finish my coming to an end long stories, but I'm changing my mind faster than I write 😅

The last chapter of 'Heartless' is taking so much time that I'm not sure if I just won't split it into two parts because I'm not a fan of huge chapters that exhaust me, although I haven't decided yet. I wrote down all the scenes that have to happen, and the list is so long that it makes me want to run away and hide🙈

So, to distract me and to give you something mine to read while you are waiting for me to finish that very long chapter, here is a story, which I've been working on for some time now.

There will be a new short chapter every couple of days, and the story is mostly done, it needs only some scenes to be finished and edited, so it won't take too much of my writing time from 'Heartless' and 'Turbulence', but I need something to distract my mind off while writing those stories.

As I have many stories with the breakup in the center of the plot publushed or in preparation, this time, I decided to write just a fun, sexy office romance without any heartbreak 😁😉

Enjoy!

A car stopped under a tall, glass skyscraper, and a chauffeur rushed outside to open the back door, politely bowing his head to the person sitting inside. Eda Yildiz nodded at the man and got out of the car. She stopped in front of the building and adjusted her expensive black mini dress with a matching short jacket.

She smiled brightly, looking at the seat of the Bolat Enterprise, the biggest luxury jewelry company in Turkey and one of the most recognized brands in the world. Her favorite place on earth is where she was an executive director at the age of only twenty-eight. Quite an achievement, if someone would ask Eda, as she started her work there as an intern at the beginning of her studies and just in a couple of years climbed the ladder to the top without any connections, only with her brain, hard work, and dedication, what landed her the CEO position only one year after finishing her degree.

Eda wasn't shy about her achievements. No, she was proud of them and was ready to confront anybody who dared to doubt her and her abilities. Not like it never happened. It did, many times, and she always stood her ground, proving her rights and having strong support from the company owner. She was immensely grateful to this man, who recognized her potential and hired her after the first job interview. He gave her a chance, and she had never disappointed the trust he put in her.

It was good to be back. Eda must have to admit that three weeks of leave in a hot tropical location were nice, but she missed her work. The thought of new challenges always excited her, so by the end of her leave, she was already so bored that she regretted she hadn't brought her company laptop and phone with her.

No more wasting time on lazing around. Eda smiled again and in confident, fast strides walked toward the big glass doors that opened before her.

"Good morning, Eda hanim." The receptionist stood up the moment she entered the spacious, modern lobby.

Eda nodded at the woman, passing throgh the lobby and receiving greetings from other employees when a familiar voice called after her. "Oh, you're here so early?"

She turned to see a tall, blonde woman who held the general counsel position in the company. "Hi, Ceren. And when was I supposed to come here? This is the hour I start my work every day."
